Doesn't work in HP LaserJet M110w, even though claimed to. Waste on money

I was stupid and didn't really understand what I'd purchased here. I have been using HP+ but the cost went up and I was paying over the odds, so decided to ditch it. I bought this as it's half the price of a proper HP cartridge. This new cartridge has NO CHIP installed - if you just put it in the printer it WILL NOT WORK! You need to remove the chip from an old cartridge. IF ALL YOU HAVE IS AN OLD HP+ CARTRIDGE, IT WILL NOT WORK! Fortunately I'd kept the original cartridge that came with the HP M110we which was not HP+. It took some fiddling to get the old one out and in to the new cartridge. HOWEVER, THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE GOOD AND THE TOOLS SEEM TO WORK OK, although I had some questions about what I had to remove. The chip came out with the plastic surround - it was enough to remove the edge parts of this and sand down the underside. BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHICH WAY YOU PUT THE CHIP INTO THE NEW CARTRIDGE - again, the instructions show this but you'll need good eye sight. Eventually, after some flashing red lights, and reluctance it did print a page. HOWEVER IT SAYS THE PRINT CARTRIDGE IS LOW. See the questions above to find fixes for this, or live with it. I'm assuming the chip knows something about something perhaps, I don't know. Print quality seems ok, it remains to be seen whether it remains ok, whether it produces the 2000 pages, but I guess, even at 600 pages it'll break even against the HP+. I'm afraid next time I'll buy a proper HP cartridge - if you think you might struggle, do that. Otherwise, I think this might be good value for money, if it lasts.
