Great value for quality components
This kit includes a lot of good components, all kept neatly in a large case with room to grow for extra parts/sensors as you acquire them. It also includes a mini-case for the small electronic components.Pros:- Has lots of components, inputs, outputs, sensors, motors, etc. and tutorials for each one.- Quality soldering - I didn’t feel the need to rework any of the modules as I have had to do in the past. You do have to solder the MPU-6050 and the RFID sensors though (you can choose either straight or right angle pins).- Included an upgraded LCD1602 module, with a PCF8574 I2C backpack soldered on.- Included datasheets on nearly all of the components, so you don’t have to guess what you have.- Has a 215 page PDF of tutorials with schematics, breadboard wiring diagrams and sample code.- Nice large storage case with mini-case inside for the smaller components.Cons:- The jumper wires have a strong chemical smell to them when first opening the case, I recommend you let them air outside for a day or two.- My CD came with corrupt files that could not be extracted. However, after contacting the seller, they gave me a link where I could download all the files that were on the CD.After running through some of the tutorials, here's a few tips:- The included breadboard has power rails that run HALF the length as indicated by the break in the blue/red lines (different than the product pictures). Many of the wiring diagrams in the tutorials assume full length power rails and if you wire them up as shown in the diagrams, those circuits will NOT work. The simplest solution is to bridge the rails with jumpers, then you can follow the tutorial wiring.- The upgraded LCD1602 module was a nice surprise, it will save you a lot of I/O pins in your projects and simplify wiring. However, the LCD1602 tutorials still refer to the base module without I2C. You’ll need to install the I2C version of the LiquidCrystal library, and use the sample code that comes with the library. It works great.Overall, this kit is a great value for the price and all the components you get.

Why pay at higher kits if you can get it at lower price...
I did score a good deal for this starter kit,(almost $10 actually); been searching for an Arduino Starter kits for a while as advised by an acquaintances in my home automation groups to practice upon the basic programing and projects that are ardruino based. I did some research which leads me to choose this particular set mainly due to its lower price tag compare to exactly similar items in other seller. I was intimidated at first due to its low price and low product review, so I just trust my guts since amazon has a great return policy anyway. So upon checking all the items that comes with it was indeed comparable to other more popular brands when it terms to contents. Now, regarding the kit itself; i highly recommend this to all specially to those who like me are still not that well verse to arduino projects and basic programing. It has CD rom attached with sample projects, codes needed for a project, Datasheet of components and even arduino installers for both OS and windows. You could also easily search some other arduino based projects in various sites as guide to a certain project.I just wish they add some video tururial into the said ROM because a lot of other buyer preffered something to watch upon while learning. So far i already finished my very first basic project which is controlling an RBG led light using arduino and of course wifi. More projects to come and to practice upon; by the way the kit is kept inside a plastic container that would also protects and stores the components.

Tutorial Missing: Ultimate Starter Kit for UNO R3
This beautifully packaged and presented learning system does NOT include easy access to any of the promised Tutorials, which makes this Kit useless to most buyers.NO CD with learning Tutorials was included in the package.NO clear, functioning links to any of the Tutorials were found on LAFVIN's website.Perhaps this deficiency is responsible for the current low cost of this system.Rufus says: "Yes, the kit comes with a tutorial user manual containing over 30 lessons, code, libraries, and datasheets to help beginners learn electronics and programming."Rufus does NOT specifically state how the Tutorials are provided or where to find them.I will correct and update this review should LAFVIN fix the problem or show me where I went wrong.

Best kit ever!
I bought this for my son 2 years ago he had looked at it but was not interested so it got shelved.Fast forward to this year he said he wanted to learn about electronics and building simple robots. So off so the ultimate kit came off the shelf he wanted to do a balancing robot so I started looking up the gyro chip on amazon. But I looked at the kit carefully it already had it! It had pretty much anything you needed!I could not find the manual so I emailed the company and with a quick response, they sent me the link get manual and examples sketches. So I started to teach my son how to install, configure, and run sketches so within an hour he was running and modifying sketches. For example, after he did blinking led I told him now figure out how to make it blink SOS in Morse code … - - - …We are now working with servos and stepper motors are next it came with one of each but we already had a bunch of em we may have to get a motor shield. We look at each component and think what can we make with that! And that is how the fun starts. With this kit and our 3D printer, we can now make anything! The manual does not fully teach you the cc++ language it gives examples if you want to learn you can look at the Arduino URL and then under learning and there are plenty of YouTube Arduino 101 tutorials. We may do some videos on some of the things we are building so people can follow along.
