I love all these colouring books in this series by this artist.The artwork is beautiful and very unusual.The paper stock is high quality and my felt tips don’t bleed through to the following page (anything like a sharpie pen will bleed through)Can be used for painting too or mixed media, the pictures are simple yet detailed and I can use different media to alter the look of some of the characters to totally personalise my book.Perfect for anyone who loves colouring.

Karakter is a mix of 15 previous illustrations/portraits from Hanna Karlzon's other books along with 5 unique pictures. They are all absolutely stunning! There's a diverse range of styles and framing, with some illustrations more detailed than others. The paper quality is incredible - it's ivory and extremely thick, almost bordering on card. Each illustration is single-sided so a mixed-media approach would work perfectly. If you love Hanna Karlzon or just portraiture in general then get this book!

Definitely worth getting if you enjoy hannas work! I own every single book of hers now. The paper in this one is absolutely fantastic It’s a pleasure to work on

Gorgeous artwork by Hanna karlzon, paper is fantastic quality. Have used watercolours with very minimal warping. With only 25 images, I'm reasonably confident that this is one colouring book I'll actually be able to finish

Love hanna karlzon books

Karakter translates to "character" and it makes sense that this coloring book has only the females who were featured in the artist's various coloring books. If like me you wish you would have copied the images of the beautiful women featured by the artist prior to coloring, this is a chance to obtain a compilation of SOME not all of those images. The book is larger than her others (about 4 inches longer) and is published only on one side of the paper. The paper is a heavier artist quality stock.This is bound and as some of the images are large, reaching almost to the crease you may want to remove the pages from the binding prior to coloring. I plan to take the binding off and copy the images so that I can practice before committing one for permanent coloring. While I love the high quality of these books for the most part, I do wish there were editions that were perforated for removal prior to coloring. I also wish all of them were only published on one page so as to avoid transfer of color to facing pages. I have found that using a full blender wax pencil over all of the image does help set the color from the pencils I use and lessens transfer. I also place a blank sheet of paper on top of a completed page for a few days so that any color transfer goes onto the blank rather than onto the opposing page.The book is in Dutch but as I have read the artist bio on my other English translations that it makes no difference.My overall biggest complaint with this artist's books is that she uses the same components over and over and over. I am thoroughly sick of mushrooms coming out of heads, and houses as well as the same flower over and over. There is a bit of similarity in all of the characters but there is sufficient differences to make each a unique coloring experience.I realize this isn't published yet in an English language version and is a bit pricey particularly given there are less than twenty pages to color. However if you love coloring the "women" in her books this is an opportunity to get highlights from a bunch of different books in an improved quality edition.

Sublime portrait pour ce livre.Toutes les couvertes de ces livres sont sublimes, cartonnées de très belles qualités.le papier est de bonne qualité, parfait pour les crayons de couleurs.J'utilise les feutres il faudra un support de protection, mais c'est plutôt très réussie.

Super schönes Ausmalbuch, hier kann man lernen Gesichter auszumalen, die vielen verschiedenen Gesichter laden ein sich auszuprobieren. Die Größe des Buches finde ich ebenfalls toll, die Gesichter kommen super heraus. Ich kann das Buch sehr empfehlen, daher fünf Sterne

What can you say about Hanna Karlzan besides magnificent. If you like doing portraits this book is a collection of some of her portraits from all of her previous books. It's also a little bigger. The pages are single sided and the paper is heavy it can take just about all mediums plus delivery from the UK wasn't that long of a wait either.
