Works for off-the-grid living
I am running this on a Jackery 3000 Pro solar generator. According to my generator, it usually uses 356 watts. This means I get more time running it than I did the 5000 BTU window unit I purchased at the local megastore. Most air conditioners take way too much power to run for me to be able to use them since I live off the grid. Even the smallest window unit drains my solar generator in two hours. This Outohome unit goes for at least twice as long. (Sometimes I run the generator nearly out at 5 hours and have to switch generators the next day). That matters when it has been this hot. I live in a canyon and get less sunlight. Other people would probably get more time from their solar generators.I am using it in my 24 foot diameter yurt. That's actually too large a space, but along with a couple fans (one placed on top) I find it is keeping the interior a decent temperature. It cools even better when the outside temperature is not over 100 degrees fahrenheit as it has been the last few days. Without this unit, the yurt would be unbearable.I had trouble attaching the hoses, and maybe I gave up too fast, but I just got some duct tape. I placed the unit in front of a door that has pet screening, (larger holes), and wrap the rest of the door in a plastic curtain. This was clearly the best unit for someone who needs to watch how much electricity they are using. It also does a fine job of cooling. I like the weight. It wasn't too heavy for me. Most AC units are just out of consideration. I was happy to find this one.

Poor cooling performance
Does not cool like you would think a 5,200 BTU unit would. Wouldn't even cool off my insulated tent. Barely gets cold although it is very quiet window baffles are lacking. definitely not worth the price

It makes really cold air but it can be a hassle
The drainage hose comes off easily and causes leakage at times. Can be fixed with a small zip tie. Also come with outlets for 4 ducts (2 large, 2 small) but only comes with 1 small and 1 large duct. The main cold air flow requires a small duct and the hot air outlet also requires a small. Additionally the remote isn't the best. It would be worth it if the prices was $100-150 otherwise you'll spend time and money to make it work efficiently depending on your use case.

Will keep you cool.
I live in HOT Arizona weather in a 10 x 10 room that has 0 insulation ( the room was not meant to be lived in was a storage room but trying to save money) It easily reaches 100 F or hotter in this room. This portable AC has been a blessing and keeps the room cool with no issues. Would recommend. It is a bit bigger than the imagery suggests though. Also t he remove can use some love. Its not very responsive at certain angles.

Exspensive but worth the easy operation and to move
This unit is very nice, and quite. But it will struggle to cool off my topper if it's been in sun all day,,130 degrees inside. But I noticed that if parked in the shade and topper cools off I was able to run this unit and it worked awsome for night sleep and defentllly park in a shaded area to enhance to performance of this unit..Summery in my opinion is it works real nice and cooled my topper at night to a comfortable 68 degree and 58% humidity, out side was 77 at night with 92% humidity..I also use in a back room of house and works awsome...

Blows cold but has problems.
the stupid exhaust pipe disconnected from the adapter. I just tried to extend the exhaust pipe and the tube popped right out of the adapter. It’s impossible to put back in and now the exhaust hose is rendered useless. Happened in the first five seconds of setting it up. I just pulled on the hose. Also ended up using it. It did blow cold air most of the night. After about six hours in it shut itself off and kept turning itself off and I have no idea why. Sending this thing back.

Perfect Portable Cooling Solution!
This unit has exceeded all my expectations. The seller’s product description was incredibly detailed and accurate – yes, it’s a bit heavy, but the clever design makes it genuinely portable. I can move it with one hand! What truly impressed me is its lightning-fast cooling power. During our family camping trip, it chilled our tent within minutes, turning sweltering heat into refreshing comfort. It’s also become my workday savior in my stuffy storage shed.Even my kids love it! They drag it to their bedrooms for instant relief on hot afternoons. For the price, this is an unbeatable value. It’s brought our whole family both comfort and joy – I’d call that a win! Highly recommended!

Did not cool
Terrible product. I turned it on for a few hours in a 50 square ft trailer and it did not lower the temperature at all. The unit got so hot that it increased the heat in the trailer instead of cooling it. Also, the remote would not function. Waste of time and money.
