I ordered this to use during my time of vocal rest from having vocal cord injections. I was unable to speak for a week so this helped to communicate and allow me to feel “a part” of conversations. It has buttons that you can pre record short messages so one of them I pre recorded me laughing and my family got a kick out of me using that button every now and then when necessary lol. I did wish it had a goodbye button though! It was so easy to use and it also has a volume setting which was great. I passed it on to my relative who works in a hospital and can give it to a patient that could utilize it. It would be great for tracheostomy patients who cannot speak, nonverbal people, or people like me who just needed some vocal rest for a bit. It was such a great product! Highly recommend!

This device has been a fantastic addition to our daily routine. The 6 programmable buttons are the perfect 'starter' amount—not too overwhelming, but enough to cover basic needs like 'water,' 'bathroom,' or 'all done.' The recording process is incredibly easy and the audio is surprisingly clear. I also appreciate the adjustable volume, as some environments are much louder than others. It’s durable enough for kids but looks professional enough for adult rehab too. A total win for non-verbal communication!

Good quality, not heavy, like the customizable recording buttons, most importantly gives nonverbal people a voice. My cons were: a little big for four year old hands, sound could be louder, should add words by pictures, and a little easier to push the buttons.

Got this to help with non verbal child on the spectrum to help with communication. It is smaller than I expected but I guess it will work and is a step in the right direction

It does exactly as it says. The volume is kind of low even when at full max. Having 6 buttons you can reprogram does come in handy. It makes the item more customizable. It doesn't beat a real AAC device but it's a good runner up.

It’s not as loud as it was when I purchased it a few weeks ago

Disappointed in this device. Sound volume is very poor, have to hold device close to your ear and still can barely hear it,even turning up volume to maximise level does not help. Waste of money buying this.

This was my 2nd device again very impressed and the quality and sound is fab that you can adjust the sound also very user friendly for Kids and Adults

The Joy Reel 24 button remote has been an absolute game changer for us. My son is nonverbal, and this device has given him a way to finally express himself in a way that’s simple and effective.
