I’ve never felt better, had more energy
I wish I would have had the information laid out in this book years ago. Before reading this book, I spent HOURS running on a treadmill at the gym or outside, going to group cardio exercise classes to keep motivated, and other grueling exercises with hardly any weight loss. I’ve been following the nutritional plan outlined in "No Fail Fat Burning for Women" for over two months and have dropped 18 pounds from a size 8 to 4. I’ve never felt better, had more energy, maintained better cognitive functioning (like “brain fog” has lifted), or had better sleep. The principles Skye outlines are backed by evidence-based science throughout and I find myself frustrated that the rest of the population doesn’t know the things outlined in this book (and the helpful blog she created to go with the book). We’ve all been “lied to” for so long about so many things (i.e. breakfast being the most important part of the day, Canola oil, sugar, high fat being bad for you, chronic cardio, etc.). It’s so simple! The hacks she shares with us in the book, along with information about intermittent fasting, PMS/hormones, ketogenic nutrition, MCT oil/butter coffee (yum!), and carb refeeding were incredibly insightful and worked remarkably. The changes I’ve felt in my overall health have encouraged me to research these many of these things further. Everything I Iooked into checked out and appears to be growing in popularity. I want to maintain the nutritional plan in Skye’s book because it makes me feel amazing! People in my life have noticed the changes in me and many have bought the book/followed the blog and are having the same results I have. Lastly, I have so much more extra time daily from not having to constantly plan my next meal, the increase in my energy level, and gaining time back from all the chronic exercise, prep., clean up after. Thank you for sharing your research, the biohacks, and for writing this book Skye St. John!!

Jump Start to adopting a successful lifestyle change after nothing else worked
Five years ago I suffered heart failure, 9 days on life support and a triple bypass. The recovery was and has been hard until I started watching friends adopt a Bullet Proof lifestyle change. However, reading those books was tedious and I could never get through them. As I was on medication for my heart, sinus, IBS, and a multitude of other symptoms, I resolved myself to misery because of this. A friend gave me this book, because it was geared towards the same principles of Bullet Proof, The New Ketogenic diet, Paleo etc. with one exception....It was an easy read and only an initial commitment of 3 weeks! I started June 17th 2015 and have not looked back since. 10 months later I am off ALL medication, 30 lbs, 4 sizes down and cholesterol levels that would make a 40 year old envious. I turn 60 in 6 months! It also prompted me to read everything I could to ensure and assure myself, that I will never go through the pains and ails I have suffered in the past 20 years. I am certain that the yo yo dieting of the past is just that. Everyone who asks me what I am doing, gets a quick referral to this book and author. My mantra is "easy read", "not a big cost in time and money" and minimal commitment to get over the fear of just starting something. I no longer am obsessed with that tape measure around my waist, although that was guaranteed of following this program. My quest is success in my heart recovery.I suggest that you get it both in ebook and hardcover. I keep giving this book away and as soon as I do, I need to refer to something. Having both is a huge convenience. I can't tell enough women about this book to start them on a new journey.

Good Plan, but Here's What I Couldn't Get Over.....
Basically, this is a "Keto," or Ketogenic diet, sans dairy, with additional weekly re-feeds of what the author calls "safe carbs" (white rice, potatoes, mostly). It's also a variation on the Bulletproof diet, but seems more "Keto-esque" to me because of the more limited food list. This plan's additional re-feeds and other modifications are designed specifically for women who might have issues or problems with Intermittent fasting or IF.The plan seems really simple and easy and the author does a good job of clearly outlining it, with lists, etc.HOWEVER, and this is a big HOWEVER, here's my own list of the problems I personally had with the book:1. The book does not offer any account of results, except those based on the author's own experience. Yes, it's a new book, but after waiting more than a year and searching online, I still cannot find one testimonial regarding this plan (or, really, Bulletproof) having any results or lasting results. The scant folks who discuss positive losses from Bulletproof seem all to be men, whom we all know, lose weight at a much higher rate than women. Also, the men posting positive results from Bulletproof had significant weight to lose in the first place. Perhaps these results are out there somewhere; I just cannot seem to find them. Relatedly, I can't seem to find any photos of the author online. If it worked for her, why doesn't she show off the results? That just seems to be standard practice in the diet book industry. Or, if you don't want to put your photo online (and I can't blame a person there), perhaps try to include some sort of additional evidence that this is a plan that will work. Else I feel like I am completely changing my lifestyle for something that may or may not work! And, on the "hard days" I did feel like that. I needed something more to keep me going!2. The author talks about her highest weight being in a zone that most American women see as normal, even "thin." She talks about how her mother was shocked to see her at that horrible disgusting weight and the accompanying self-loathing that she felt. I know we all have our happy weights and it's dependent on frame and muscle, etc., but this was just not fun for me to read: It's like that thin friend we all have who complains about how fat she is and then makes us wonder "well, what must she be thinking about ME??" Besides just being completely offensive and, in a way, even bordering on fat-shaming (i.e. I can't love myself at this weight), it made me wonder if the book would work for someone like me trying to get to that "so-called fat" number. (And, I should mention, that most diet books could be seen to participate in some form of "fat shaming" - this, to me, is nothing new.)4. So, did it work for me? Actually, it did to an extent, but I modified it a bit to go on to lose 40 lbs in two and a half months. That is, I also did light cardio (20 minutes per day) and began walking more. This cardio is not part of the plan. And, I didn't do it as much for weight loss as just to strengthen my lungs and break a sweat and put some color into my skin. So, I am not sure if the 40 that I lost was in any part due to that. I also skipped some re-feeds when I felt that my body didn't need them. I did them more like once a week. Here, I just listened to my body and didn't force it. I did not take all of the supplements recommended. But those I did take, I use to this day. Finally, I quit drinking all but for once a week. (The book says never to drink.) I drank on the re-feed days (what a coincidence!). But, I was a 2-3 time a week drinker before this diet and perhaps the fact that I just cut down on the booze also contributed my losses. Maybe I was so bloated from the booze that I was carrying 20lbs of water, too. That's a possibility since I retain water like nobody's business.Overall, I believe it's a good plan - very easy to follow. I just wish, again, the tone in places was less toward fit women and more toward the rest of us, although the author does try to make it very straightforward when it comes to outlining what to do. I would also like to see some evidence somewhere that it works for others.
