High quality knife at an unbelievable price
I'm very impressed with the quality of this knife, especially for the price! I originally purchased it to use as part of a Westworld costume; I figured $16 was fine for a costume. I'll still use it for the costume, but now I've got a new backyard/camping/hiking knife, too! It feels very nice in my hand, the weight is good, the blade sharpens nicely (it comes sharp enough, so be careful). The sheath is great, too. Some reviews mention manufacturing defects, such as gaps near the bolster. The knife I received has no visible defects. It's also full tang, which frankly is surprising at this price point. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a knife to use occasionally.

Good not Great
I like this knife. The materials seem like they are of good quality. I like the shape and feel of the knife. The leather sheath is very high quality and looks great. However, the knife with it's great materials has flaws which are representative of the price range for a knife like this. The metal and the wood don't fit flush, there are large gaps where the blade and the hilt were forged together, and the bonding/filler material for gaps (like tar) is not contained to the gaps but flows over. I will use the knife, keep it, and like it but because of the level of integration on it, I won't be too worried about losing it while hunting. The knife is as pictured, but the flaws don't represent custom construction, just not quite up to par with other knives that are typically 3x this price. I don't see the flaws causing this to fall apart and I'll find some epoxy or something to fill gaps at the handle interface. There are also fairly deep machining marks on one side at the 'double blood grooves' which are about 1/8" apart and too deep to polish out. I used a cheapo sharpener that I got on Amazon to sharpen the blade when I got it. It is a ceramic sharpener. I found that the 440 steal seems a bit softer than expected as the sharpener easily put a curve on the sharp edge of the knife.... I could probably know more about sharpening. If you can put up with a few flaws as I've mentioned, get this knife. I plan to carry it for hunting next year. It is on par or slightly lower quality than those pakistan knives they sell at gun shows, but more style to it than those.

READ IF CONSIDERING
When I first picked up the knife I was pleased by the weight. To me when a knife this size feels hefty it seems like a good sign that the knife is strong. Ran it through the sharpener 3 times came out shaving sharp. There's no rattling or loose parts to this knife so it seems like it should last a long time. People considering buying this knife don't be turned away by some people saying the handles to small it fits my hand with plenty of space for bigger hands. The sheath is also helpful and well made. Well if you made it this far, it's definitely a bang for the buck!!!

great value.
recently purchased a number of knives with a very specific criteria. no "tactical", no paracord, no giant bowie, no folders, just a nice sized, natural handle bush knife, for CHEAP. all were in the $10-16 range. this was one of them.to be honest, not the best knife made. no, it wont contend with a $300 custom knife, but for under $20 this is a lot of knife. nice fit and finish, came sharp, didnt really punish them, but in the limited amount of trials i gave the blade seemed to hold a decent edge. at the end of the day, id take 20 of these over one $300 knife hands down. actually, id just get one and spend the other $285 on something else.and for the record. im giving this same review to all 8 of the knives i purchased for this "experiment". all seemed to hold edges well, some better than others, the fit and finish was better on some than on others, but easily acceptable on all, and all well worth the few dollars they cost.** addendum to this knife only, imo, this one had the nicest sheath of the bunch. dosent affect the function of the knife any, but if its a concern to you, this is probably the budget knife you want.

Great knife, the only flaws are very minor.
Admittedly, I will not use this as a hunting/survival knife. At least, not a typical survival knife. I do like to sneak out at night to clear my mind, get some fresh air, and go out with friends on foot, bikes, or skateboards. I've wanted some kind of knife for self defense for a long time, and I think this would be at least a somewhat decent knife to defend myself with, if not, then intimidate someone. I have no intentions of abusing this knife as I know it's not a toy. It does have a tad more weight than I was expecting, but it does reassure me into knowing this will probably hold up for a while. The sheath is in perfect condition, and I had read a lot of reviews about the clasp being broken upon arrival. However, I do not have this problem. Overall, I am very impressed.
