I bought two of these at separate times. Both stopped working as I joined both together. My first return window closed so I now cannot return the first one I bought. Do not buy. They're not weatherproof.

Easy to set these up, everything you need is included, wall power plug (not usb). The included switch connects to the end of the rgb strip and it is where the microphone is located for music response, was plenty of length to use these under my desk and put the switch near one of my speakers so they will respond to whatever is on my pc. The effects are nice as these have the ability to display multiple colors at the same time around the length. You can cycle through a few different modes with the switch or use the app to get more control over the lights and more programmed modes to use. The adhesive has been holding rather well on a wooden desk, but it does include more when you need it.

This was a disappointment from the word go. Some of the colors were brighter than others. I like purple but fund the purple on this to be washed out and not as vibrant as the 2 colors that are used to create it. The instructions say that the app for these works on both IOS and Android. I was able to get it to work on my Samsung A53 but could not get it to do anything on my older iPad Air. I had to search for the app in Apples App Store because any time I tried scanning the QR code on my iPad it took me to what looked like the Google play store which then told me to check my Gmail app. I am used to apps that tell you things like what hardware and what OS are supported. I found none of this. While I was able to download and use the app on my Android, things like the brightness and color mixing controls felt "rough". Even using the app to turn the lights on was rough requiring several presses of the power button for things to come on. With the color mixing, the lighting didn't change as you moved the RGB color sliders. When it comes to the brightness control, I really didn't get the same smooth fading or increasing of light that I am used to. Beyond brief flashes of light from background noise I can't say much about the sound sensor for music. I really didn't get these for that feature.

Quick and easy mod on our RV awning. It was a little bigger than our awning, so all we had to do was snip off the excess at the non-wired end and it's still waterproof. The adhesive is still holding up great, it came off about four inches or so at the end with the plug, but that gets the most wear and tear being plugged in and unplugged, etc. Able to roll up awning with it still attached with no damage to either item. White light setting illuminates the inside of awning well at night, which is it's main purpose, but the rainbow lights are also really impressive for holidays and special occasions. Timer works great too, which is key.
