Useful little drive to have around
This little external CD/DVD drive has been handy to keep around, especially since so many newer laptops do not have a disc drive anymore. I like that it is simple to plug in and use without making the setup complicated. It is compact enough to store in a drawer or laptop bag, but still feels useful when I need to read an older disc, install something, or pull files from a CD or DVD. The USB connection worked well for me, and it was nice not having to keep a bigger desktop-style drive around. For occasional use, it does exactly what I wanted. It is lightweight, easy to move between computers, and a good practical accessory to have on hand.

Good product
This arrived very late but I am happy with its performance. The front plate of the disc tray had come loose on one side at some point before delivery but I was able to pop it back into place. I’ve gone through over 70 DVDs in the last couple months—ripping them onto my Ubuntu home server—and it has been doing well so far. :)

Ease of use Quality Gear
Such and Easy ( Literally Plug and Play ) unit . I thought this would have more to it to get it going but it didn't - it literally is ready to go out of the Box . My computer has been acting a little wonky so when I saw this I jumped on it thinking this will definitely decrease the strain on my computer - did it ever . Didn't even need to rad the instructions . Within two minutes I was backing up cd's . What a weight off my shoulders . Incredible Price to Boot .

If your laptop does not come with an external drive
I bought this because my h/p laptop did not have an external cd drive that I needed to burn some cd's. This was very easy to use - came with very easy instructions. Basically just plug in & go. The Rioddas external cd/dvd drive is perfect for I needed it for and at such a good price.

works great, sometimes will keep cd/dvd in, despite it being done, just press stop burning, all songs were burned and not cut off at all.
