Sealy Reflexion 4 or Stearns Reflection 7 Adjustable Bed Conversion Kit (See Pics) for Lost or Broken Remote

Installation:Take a look at the instructions in the first photo. If you are afraid of those steps or are not comfortable replacing an electrical outlet then you need someone to do this for you. That said, I am 66 and arthritic but with my electrical knowledge and comfort stripping wires this was not an ordeal. It took me about an hour, counting moving the bed to access the plugs.First I had to unplug the bed and cut off the old plugs to the lifts on the bed. Then I had to strip the wires and insert them into the slots. While it was easy to tell head from foot it was a guessing game on the red and orange wires because my bed has another set of the purple and blue wires for the foot. I had a bad connection on the pre connected side and had to cut it back more to replace the length going into their controls. It just took a glance to see the white wire sticking out to know why it was not working. The controls for the bed vibrations hooked up without any problem.I followed their instructions on the door side which I did first and left about six inches on what I cut off in order to be able to reattach it. That left me no option but to cut off the head side at the plug in order to be able to reach the union of the lines.I moved the bed back in place and a wire had come loose again and I had the up and down backwards so I had to go back in and replace and switch some wires. Now I have a functioning bed with both lifting and lowering of the head and door of the bed as well as massaging.The Review:I see why this cost more than your average remote. Since I could not find a replacement remote that was not used and without failing buttons this was my only option. I thought it was rather expensive and waited several week to purchase it. I did not realize I was replacing the wiring and power to the bed as well. The price makes more sense realizing this, and the company sells additional remotes for $70. The last picture shows the new remote in silver and my old customatic remote as well as the plugs I had to cut off. The silver remote was not shown in the pictures of the product.I made the mistake of following the directions and preparing to put my bed in its side to do the modification. After getting my heavy 18” mattress off I realized I could not lift my frame to put it on its side, but that was not necessary. It was easier for me to put the bed with the head up as far as it would go, pull the bed out a little bit and work in the space at the head of the bed to do my repairs. I wasted time moving the mattress off and pulling the bed out far enough to turn it on its side.The first photo is their instructions along with a link to their YouTube video on how to install it. I watched about two minutes at the most and got tired of pausing the video so I easily followed the printed directions. The only thing missing was about the black clip shown in the last photo. I guessed wrong and tried to swing it out to connect the power. That broke off the contacts so it is useless now. Instead this piece slides up and down. The 4th photo shows my lifts with the 24v and not 12v power. You must have the 24v to use this kit. The second photo shows the connections. It is a total of 8 wires you must insert to make proper connections from four lines. You cut off all small wires in each line as they are not needed. The third photo was in the process of installing and the 4th is the finished head and foot lift connection. They also supplied two long zip ties to connect the controls to the frame but that did not work well for me.Now that it is installed I can raise and lower both the head and foot of my bed. I can also turn the massage units on for both. The only thing I can not do is turn the light under the bed on and off, which is a small loss to have a working remote again. I do not need a second remote but it is nice to know it is available reasonably.I gave this five stars because it works and I was able to install it correctly. I have no formal electrical training but have replaced outlets and switches as needed since I am a widow and must do things myself. That said, I would not trust my sister to do this installation without any electrical abilities nor someone that does not have a logical thought process.I am glad I purchased this remote and electrical system replacement. I would happily do it all over again.

I contacted the company to make sure they had these in stock and they assured me that they did. It arrived yesterday and my husband had it working within 15 minutes. You do have to get under the bed to push the button to set it up but it is possible. You can’t actually see the button to push so use the instructions to guide you to the button. I have a happy husband now!

This item overpriced, but I finally got it paired with my Sealy Reflexion 4 base. My original remote was black and new one is white.The seller told me to return it because frequency was not same as original remote. Seller made an honest mistake and told me the white one would not work. Seller communicated very well and gave me a $5.00 credit. Works very well but you can find a lesser price. Difficult to pair unless base is raised.

Our remote works perfectly with our adjustable bed - couldn't be happier. The original one went bad so we did our research and made sure it would work before purchasing. The remote is white (our old one was black) but just happy to have a way to control the bed again!

Even though it is not the same brand as my bed, it works just fine. The remote looks the same as the one that came with the Customatic so I thought it was worth a try.

Perfect, arrived in time, just don’t forget to synchronise it with your bed other wise it will seam not to work !
