Well it definitely is silica gel. Does what it's supposed to do and does it well, I like the fact that it is reusable at least up to a certain degree. I got this to use just whenever I need silica gel. But mainly for the inside of my piano.

The was exactly what I was looking for. I use this for experiments (drying chemicals in the classroom) and for drying my 3D filament for my 3D printers. It works great and was a good deal. It will take me a long time to use this much.

This desiccant barely changes color when it becomes saturated. I poured some good (orange to green changing) desiccant on top of this and you can see how much it changed while this desiccant is still an orange. It gets slight lighter but not much when it becomes saturated. Go find some that changes from orange to green when it gets saturated and skip the stuff that changes from orange to "clear"
