To preface, I'm almost 70 and have been a nail biter most of my life...it's a terrible habit and I finally decided I wanted to stop once and for all. So, I ordered this product and it is, without a doubt, the most heinous taste ever...thus it works! I have not put a nail anywhere near my teeth since I started using it. I would highly recommend it to break the nail biting habit. That said, be forewarned, it's not required to be biting your nails to get this terrible taste into your mouth...if you try to dislodge some tiny bit of food from between your teeth with your finger, the evil taste in your mouth will be the same. Buy some toothpicks and keep your floss handy. Good luck!

Truly disgusting taste! I sampled this before putting it on my daughter. Even lasts through multiple handwashing’s. This is not your typical bitterness but 100x worse. Highly recommend! We are one week nail biting free!

This works very well. It has a nasty taste and it is helping me to stop biting my nails.

Worked for my 2 year old. The taste was bitter enough she doesn't want to put her thumb in her mouth. We did had to reapply since it wore off after a couple days but it seems like she is to the point she doesn't want to bother trying anymore. On the other hand my 4 year old did not care about the taste and did not work for him. I did read that some toddlers/kids have a difference in taste buds so they can like it. So theres that.

As an adult using this product to stop nail biting, it does help to stop putting fingers in mouth however if you accidentally very slightly touch mouth on accident, you’re done. You can’t use this product if you are preparing food or serving food or anything like that. Where gloves if you have to.

My 3 year old had the terrible habit of sucking her fingers. After just one application, she has not put her fingers in her mouth again. This stuff works!!

Used to help daughter stop thumb sucking. Applies like a nail polish, dried quickly and tastes awful. We find it comes off in 1-2 days, so need to reapply often.
