Doing a great job! Seems to be a common connection too.
I had recently upgraded my windows 7 Pro to a windows 10 Pro operating system and was getting a message about my power supply not being (possibly) up to powering the system and charging the battery at the same time. My original battery had recently gone totally dead and perhaps had me overly concerned about everything to do with properly providing adequate power to my HP Pavillion dv7 laptop, so I ordered this 90W 19V power adaptor to make certain of the power source. Seems my original HP 65W source was doing, apparently, just as good of a job as the one we're talking about here....at least I'm continuing to get the same message as before and all seems well. What the symptoms consist of are the message I mentioned and that if you just run your system on your battery, then plug in the power supply when your charge is down to, say...50% you'll still continue to see that same message and if you check what you see for your charging rate(the one that you see when you put your cursor over the battery icon on your tool bar) It just says something like "50% charged - plugged in" your system will be working fine....if it's at 50% - 80% - 20% -whatever....it will be, in other words, powering/running your system, but will not be charging the battery.....this appears to me not to have anything to do with the power supply, but with whatever new control Windows 10 is exerting over your system's existing charging system...this is what I think...an educated guess. I'm not using any fancy meters, or tools to arrive at what I'm saying here other than what I've described. So, this new power supply is what I'm continuing to use myself, why not?, it seems to be working fine for me and so was the original 65 W HP one I mentioned earlier and/also so was an original Dell 65W I had laying around and tried just for fun....they all worked the same and caused the message I've described exactly the same. Bottom Line: This new one....the 90W 19V one seems like it's a good one and I'm keeping it.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased this adapter to have a second one. The adapter will only run the laptop if I am on it or charge it if I am not on it. This I did not know as it was stated to be compatible with my DV7.Editing this post and the rating: After posting the above, the company reached out to me and asked if it were ok if they sent me their updated adapter, I accepted and received it quickly. I tried it this morning and even though my HP laptop complained that it was of lower capacity (4A instead of 6A output) it did what it was supposed to do, that is charge and run my laptop at the same time. For the money it is an excellent product which was made very well. (I am a Clinical Engineer well versed in electronics for over 23 years ) so i feel i know a thing or two about electronics and the quality of such. But I would like to turn this review now to the customer service side of the conversation. My original review was a 3 star and politely written as seen above. Obviously my total satisfaction was their desired and now they have it!!! For me their customer service far out weights my initial product experience and I would not hesitate to buy from them again or recommend them to a friend.

Great replacement charger, but it only lasted maybe a year
I've had my main laptop for a long time now, almost 20 years. The laptop charger went out for it in 2020 and this charger was a great replacement for the original charger. Would definitely buy this again if it was needed!Had to order another one in 2021.

Worked fine for three months
Have three HP laptops, power supply for one went bad. Ordered this replacement and it worked fine in all three laptops till today. Totally dead, changed to line cord from other charger and same. Now doesn't work in any of the laptops. Total life was almost three months exactly.

Does not charge laptop at all.
I have an old Pavilion dv6 I got from someone that came with no power cord. As soon as I got this in, I plugged it in and the laptop booted up right away, but is not working properly. I looked at the charging icon on the Task Bar and it says "Plugged in, not charging." The adapter does not charge my laptop at all. As soon as I unplugged it from my laptop, the laptop immediately shut off and won't turn back on. Can I please get a refund or exchange? Maybe this adapter doesn't work properly and another one will?

It works perfectly
I like how light it is and so far it works perfectly. I haven't had it a long time but I have no reason to believe it won't last the test of time.
