I purchased approx. 42 of these now for co-workers and several friends and family. This little item is really great and really loud. If nothing else, the sound will get someone's attention. I have already used mine once when a guy approached me in the dark at a store. He didn't stay around and the cashier at the store said she had tried to get him to leave all afternoon. Mine worked great. The other people I gave them too said they are thrilled to have something so simple in case they need it. Very little money for what it can be used for. The flashlight is really bright and great by itself just to have on a key chain. I am a 65 year old widow and just wanted something I felt good about. Great product!

Useful product, even if I hope I never need it. Although after 2 accidental pulls and one done to try it out , it stopped working. It was loud when it was working. Hopefully it was just a fluke that this one quit so fast

Pros:All work as described. The LED is a little bit brighter than I was expecting which is a plus. All feel durable enough to survive being sat on or even stepped on by a lighter person. Also, these are LOUD. As in, screeching, "this hurts my ears badly" loud.Cons:I do feel that if somebody was running and stepped on it or purposely stomped on it that the plastic shell would crack. In an emergency situation if an attacker found the alarm as it was going off I feel as if they would not have too hard of a time stomping it to shut it off. It seems like you could get about 30 seconds of sound out of it even as it was being crushed. Still enough to save a person.Also I see no way to change the battery in the case that you use this as a flashlight all the time and the battery dies.Reason:I bought these just in case since my girlfriend and I walk home late in the evening from work where street lamps are sparse. We only needed 3, one each and a back up. But given the price we purchased the 5 pack and will most likely give 2 to family members.Overall:Even with the plastics feeling only okay not great, I am happy to give this 5 stars because for the money this is a great preventative measure.

I gave these as gifts and they were well received. They function easily, attach easily, have nice colors, and the alarm is loud enough! The alarm will certainly startle someone! No complaints.

We pulled one to try it and it seemed to work. Was pretty loud, not ear piercingly so, but loud. They seem pretty cheaply made so I'm not sure they are worth what we paid. I mean it wasn't all that much but I'd expect these to go for more like $2 each and we paid over $4.

I bought the Cambond personal alarm keychair for all of my daughters and grand-daughters. I fell much better knowing thatif something should happen, they know what to do and this item could easily safe their lives as well as our great-grand children, four of them, who at between 7 months and 5 years. Security has not price and meanness is a common thing in this world today. Such practical protection for such a small price. If you don't have one, get it now. WB

Bought these as a gift for my honey. She tested two of them and was pleased with the loud noise it emitted. Great safety device esp for women. Hope she remembers to carry one with her.
