Perfect Heavy Duty Hanging Solution
There once was a guy named Chad. He tried to hang heavy things on the wall with a couple of screws. This could work sometimes. If he hit a stud it was pretty sturdy, but a stud just wasn't always where he wanted to hang his heavy things. He used wall anchors and they work ok, but they aren't always the easiest to hang perfectly level, or the perfect distance apart. One time Chad was hanging a 50 pound mirror and things just didn't line up. When Chad let go of the mirror, if fell on his foot. Chad, shocked as to what was happening, fell back and into his TV. The tv tipped over and knocked the fish bowl off of the table. Thankfully Chad was able to rescue his award winning piano playing goldfish before it was too late, but things were close. Don't be like Chad, when trying to hang heavy things on the wall just use this french cleat. It is easy to get level and holds things securely to the wall, even 50 pound mirrors.*Disclaimer - None of this actually happened to Chad. No toes, TVs or award winning piano playing goldfish have ever been harmed in hanging of Chad's 50 pound mirrors because Chad always uses these french cleat hangers. Those mirrors are solidly on the wall.

Easy installation
Never knew what a French cleat was until I needed one. I had to look up on YouTube on how to install it and a lot of people recommended to use anchors if they aren’t going into studs. I found ones that were based off the weight of my mirror. I did use one of the screws since I did find a stud for just one screw. Other than that it was easy and it helped a lot with the included leveler too.

Genius Simplicity
I had a really heavy particle board headboard that is like a bookshelf with multiple levels to it for my charging station and water, etc. Because I use a box spring, it felt like the headboard was too short and I was covering the shelves when I was sleeping. I knew I had to remove it from the frame and hang it on the wall about a foot higher... but I was scared of how to do this without ruining the headboard- the backing that faces the wall is just like strong cardboard so I can't just drill through it.I used this French cleat hardware and screwed directly into the top panel of the headboard- the small 1in side that touches the wall. I then found my wall's studs and hung the second French cleat to the wall securely. It was easier than hanging up a picture once the pieces were secured to the item/wall!I simply hung up the headboard on the ledge created by the French cleat. It's been about 5 months and there has been no issue or movement. 100% secure!Unfortunately because it's near impossible to find real wood furniture nowadays, the headboard is starting to come apart from ~gravity~ since it can only be held to the wall by the top panel. At no fault of this hardware, just basic physics lol Once I get a new headboard set up, I'll be keeping this hardware for future use of pretty much anything. I'm very very happy with it!

Good but larger gap than expected
Used it to quickly and easily hang a cabinet. The 18” cleat ensured I would get two studs. It’s hung, looks good and is not going anywhere. Only negative is that it leaves a larger than expected gap at the top - 1/2”. So now I may want to add trim.

Worked perfectly to hand a 60 inch wide mrror in our bathroom
We remodeled our master bathroom about 10 years ago. We removed the mirror attached to the wall and installed a wood framed mirror. It is 60 inches wide and weighs about 20 pounds. I had originally installed the mirror on two hooks, one at each end. At that time I just didn’t think about a wall cleat. Well 10 years later and my wife wanted the bathroom a different color. I thought to myself that there had to be an easier way to hang this mirror. Well… this wall cleat system made it as easy as possible. Works great!

Great! Get the 18” if you want to hit 2 studs!!
Easy to install! Hanging 50lb mirror NO PROBLEM! Secure, safe!I used a washer around the lag screw they give to mount the wall mount, because 2 screws in the stud secured it properly. To much length between studs for me to have two studs. So where that little level goes I used a washer around the screw there, and angled a screw to the stud from a regular hole. Nice secure hold.

Wall mount headboard
I used this to hang a headboard. It works great. I appreciate that it came with a mini level.
