can these be used behind a stove top as a backsplash?

I used them as my backsplash around the sink. If you install them with “Thin Set”, like normal tile. I don’t foresee any problems. I love them! I get lots of compliments on how good the look!

How do you make them stay in place?

I use them as a backsplash in my kitchen. We use a” thin set” to hold them in place. You can purchase that at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I’m very pleased with results.

If my wall is 55,5 L by 20,5 W how many boxes do I need?

If it is roughly 60" by 21" and you place them horizontally, it would be 6 across (60 divided by 10) and 7 down (21 divided by 3) for a total of 42 pieces. If you place them vertically it would be 20 across (60 divided by 3) and 2 down (21 divided by 10) for a total of 40 pieces. So either way I would say one box should do it. If you are short you can get an extra box pretty fast. Mine look beautiful! I put them in the back of a bookcase with glass doors to make it more like a china closet.

Are these waterproof? Can they be installed in a shower?

I installed them in my kitchen about a year ago and they get splattered with oil and I wash it with water at times and they have held up well. In the shower you might need to think of water and steam all the time so I don't know how long they would stay stuck to the wall. The mirrors themselves hold up pretty well.
