Great updated model - Now lights up!
I recently purchased the SofaBaton U2 Universal Remote Control, and it has completely transformed my home entertainment experience. Managing multiple remotes for my TV, soundbar, Blu-ray player, and streaming devices was cumbersome, but the U2 has streamlined everything into a single, user-friendly device.Setting up the U2 was straightforward. Using the SofaBaton app, I easily added my devices by selecting their brands and models. The remote’s extensive code library supports over 6,000 brands and 500,000 devices, ensuring compatibility with both new and older equipment . For devices not in the database, the infrared learning feature allowed me to program the remote using the original remotes, providing flexibility and convenience. One of the standout features is the ability to create macros. With a single button press, I can power on my TV, soundbar, and Blu-ray player in a specific sequence, enhancing my viewing experience. The remote’s ergonomic design, scroll wheel for quick device switching, and responsive buttons make it comfortable and intuitive to use .The U2’s backlit buttons are a game-changer for nighttime use, and the “raise to wake” function ensures the OLED display is visible whenever I pick up the remote. These thoughtful features contribute to a seamless and enjoyable user experience. The SofaBaton U2 Universal Remote Control has exceeded my expectations. Its ease of setup, broad compatibility, customizable features, and ergonomic design make it an essential tool for simplifying and enhancing home entertainment systems. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to consolidate their remotes into one efficient device. So much better now that it lights up. They keep making the product better. The range is better than the previous model as well. Very user friendly app making the remote programming simple. I highly recommend the U2 remote!

Simplified my mess of remotes, now with backlighting!
This is my 3rd Sofabaton U2, and the hardware design keeps improving with each. The newest model has a backlit keypad which I didn't think I was going to care about but having used it for almost a week now its such a thoughtful change, my first one had a problem with the roller wheel and their customer service was very helpful in getting the issue resolved which is why I kept coming back. It has simplified a lot of different remotes in my living room into one single remote profile that can include commands and macros from different devices without having to select a different profile for each one individually to do different things. (ie the volume buttons control the volume on my receiver instead of the TV, and the power button turns on my TV and receiver at the same time) The Macros feature is also great as I can program it to set my TV and Receiver input from a single press. While needing a different remote profile to be selected using the roller it can also handle bluetooth remotes as well for my chromecast and firetv devices. At this price there really isn't anything else that handles all of these functions so seamlessly. My only complaint is the App, It has a wide array of devices in the database and the learning features allowed me to add my space heater to it easily. However it will sometimes have difficulty connecting to the remote and sometimes lacks a bit of polish in knowing how to achieve a given outcome. Obviously these are things that can be resolved with updates and it's come a long way already from when I got my first model. I would definitely recommend this remote to anyone looking to slim down on remotes or also to have a remote that provides simplicity to another family member as after the initial device set up it's incredibly set and forget.

All in all pretty good
Works pretty well and is easy to program. IMO it comes up a little short when compared to the Harmony 650. No “activities” here. But, other than that, it is a capable remote. I sit about 11 feet away from the home theater stuff and haven’t had any issues with the remote triggering my stuff. If you’re not looking for a Harmony replacement, I think you’ll be satisfied.

Seamless value for money
So pleased I bought this. For many, many years I was I enthusiastic Logitech remote user. Then, I was put in a position where I had to unwillingly switch to SofaBaton U2. After much time spent handwringing, pouring over various reviews, where other reviewers saying that they had similarly migrated over to SofaBaton, only to be disappointed or unimpressed. Honestly, I have no idea what they’re talking about. I had zero trouble or complaints setting this up, programming certain buttons, creating macro buttons. I look back on my Logitech days of initial remote control programming and remember many glitchy moments. However, no matter how many times I edited, or switch things around with the SofaBaton programming… It never failed and I never once got an error message. This could not have been easier. On the strength of it, I ended up buying a second one a few days later. I could not be happier. Go for it! Just make sure you know all your components’ model numbers.

Its ok...
Its ok. It works most of the time. You push the button once and it doubles. If you can get past the fact that you almost have to be careful when using it will be ok. Not the best remote out.

Fully customizable remote control
I was looking for a Harmony remote replacement. Mine is like 20 years old. At first I thought of using Sofabaton macro programming but then it dawned on me that I can fully customized each remote button to any devices' functions... all on one program. Say if you only use device and never change any inputs or stuffs and just want one remote to control your TV, soundbar and cable box. So you need three power buttons to turn them on. So on your cable box program, reassign buttons that you don't need to control cable box to control TV power and soundbar power button. Then program the volume up and down to control soundbar volume. Now say you don't want to show all three devices on the remote... which may confuse some users.... you can hide the other devices like TV and Soundbar... so you only see cable box and by default, whatever you programmed. Thus a customized remote control setup.
