Works like the angled version which in my experience has one problem: When the gas runs very low (and I guess the pressure too) they start to fail to light... but they have to be about 90% used before that happens. Then refill.

Bought this lighter today, worked fine for about an hour then suddenly went faulty. Now after every use, even when put down and not being touched, the gas continues to spew out and the flame (unless blown out) is still present. This item could result in disaster.

Bought several of these kinds of lighters, and none of them have broken within a week like most turbo lighters. In fact, none of them have broken at all. I especially like this one, the rubber finish is very good. The cap stays on and hasn't seemed to wear down. For the price, you really can't go wrong. Very pleased.

Small and colourful, and so far have worked so much better that other gas-lighters which have proved disappointing and unreliable

This is a pipe smokers blow lamp. It works well in all conditions including on a boat. I have tried many of these types of lighter and this is the best of the lot.
