Great source of protein w/out the extra calories and taste amazing!!
Only tried the blueberry so far and OMG these are the fire! So dang tasty with high protein content and so few calories definitely a score!!! I had it in place of lunch and it was great, not too filling but got me over the lunch hunger pangs! I will keep in my purse for those times I am rushed and need something fast. Another cool factor is the fact it isnt all chocolate and melted when you open it!

excellent if all you care about are the macros
Normally I eat Quest protein bars. They're available almost everywhere, they cost about as much as most other protein bars, lots of different flavors, and have what I consider to be acceptable marcos. I also like Barebells, because those are close enough to a "real" candy bar to feel almost like a treat and not just a way to get some extra protein. There are bars that taste better than both Quest and Barebells, but they probably have more calories and/or less protein. I try to benchmark off of ~200 calorie, ~20g protein, and there are a lot of options at those levels. Beyond that, everything is subjective when it comes to taste and texture and whatever else. That said, these David bars are weird if you're used to the denser options on the market. The bar itself is very light and fluffy, which I was not expecting, and that is true for all the flavors in the variety pack. Of all the flavors, they fell into two groups for me - 3 that I would eat again and 3 that I would not. I would put Fudge Brownie at the top. I think I feel this way because the bar itself is chocolate, and the two PB options, Cookie Dough and Cake Batter are all pretty similar. Regardless, it is my easy winner of the 6. Cookie Dough and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk tasted basically the same to me, but I still liked them and did not feel like it was a chore to eat them. So these 3 would work fine as things I could eat regularly (1 bar a day). As for the rest, Blueberry Pie was actually good as well, but I just don't think I would want to have that one all the time. Cake Batter I did not enjoy and Salted Peanut Butter was just like Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk but with salty crunchy bits mixed in and no chocolate. In any case, those just did not do it for me and I would not try them again. However, I'm not aware of anything else on the market that can do 28 grams of protein at 150 calories. If you are chasing macros or are in calorie deficit or just really watching your calorie intake, then freeing up 50 calories while getting 8 additional grams of protein is a pretty big deal. I think a lot of people would put up with stuff that tastes a lot grosser than any of these bars to get that. Lastly, the price on this is definitely on the higher side, but what do you expect? Until/unless other companies start selling bars with similar macros, it seems like it is worth it to pay a premium if this is a thing you care about.

Tastes good but the brand has some work to do
It says gluten free, I did not get glutened from it, and I enjoyed it. Having Celiac Disease that is just about the best review there is. 3 Stars because of the ingredients. The bars contain 8 grams of sugar alcohols. The bars also contain artificial flavors which feels incongruent with the brand airs of exceptional high quality. Also the wrapper makes it look like I'm eating a full size candy bar at work. I'm undecided about purchasing this again. The only draw is that this bar contains 28g protein but the cost per gram of protein is about double that of other bars that contain 21g protein per bar.

Great Way to Try All the Flavors!
I love the David Protein Bar Variety Pack! It’s a good way to try out different flavors. Each bar has 28g of protein, just 150 calories and comes with 0g of sugar making them a great choice for anyone looking for a high-protein, low-carb snack. They really help me stay on track with my fitness goals! Fudge Brownie: The texture is so soft and chewy, and the chocolate flavor is rich it really tastes just like a brownie! Cake Batter: This one has a sweet, cake-like flavor that makes me feel like I’m treating myself to a little slice of birthday cake! Blueberry Pie: I’m a huge fan of this flavor it has that perfect mix of sweet and slightly tart. It’s definitely my favorite! Salted Peanut Butter: This bar has a rich, nutty flavor with just the right pinch of salt to balance out the sweetness. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk: It’s a blend of rich peanut butter and chocolate that feels almost like a candy bar so good. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: This one is packed with a sweet cookie dough flavor and little chocolate chunks that make it feel like a treat. Overall, these bars are perfect for muscle recovery and keeping me feeling full longer. With 150 calories, they help me stay on track with my fitness goals, and being sugar-free and low-carb makes them a good fit for keto and low-carb diets.

Fantastic for the macros, pretty much it
I honestly don't understand why people are so picky about the taste. If you're eating a protein bar, chances you are going for the macros and working out and/or don't eat enough protein in your regular diet. I didn't care much for the peanut butter, but the fudge and berry were pretty good. Of course, it's not a gourmet cuisine. The macros are great, probably the best I've seen considering the calorie, saturated fat, carb, and protein ratio. The ingredients are pretty standard, but there are a lot of artificial sugar free sweeteners on here. If you're worried about that, probably not your best pick. Protein bars in general are meant to supplement, not for long-term use or replacement. With that being said, it's prob one of the better options, macro wise anyway.

Nope Bar
For the price, heck no. Yes, the macros are fantastic. But I'd rather eat a piece of chicken, for the price and expectation. At least I can season it multiple ways with actual flavor. It's. just. so. bland. There's little sweet, little flavor, and the texture is more "ouch" than enjoyable with the "crunchies" in it (grape-nut like protein crumbles, I'm guessing). I think these are for the uber deluded dieters. Like back in the day when I tried to convince myself that Walden Farms was salad dressing. If that's your level, you'll enjoy these. This would nowhere near satiate me in terms of wanting a treat. I'd rather: Eat a built bar (some at 130 cal, 17g protein) or built puff (150/15) or a current cheapest favorite Fulfil Bars (at 150/16, and omg almost like a candy bar) or drink a chocolate protein shake with a little crushed ice and PB2 especially since the ingredients aren't super clean. If you're gonna give me sucralose and ace-k, then I'll just eat a garbage bar and actually satisfy an indulgent need. I'll say that for fitness and macros junkies, treat yourself and try these once. Definitely get the variety pack as they're all so underwhelming, you won't want to try the same flavor (?) again. Also: the name is terrible. Everyone knows a David. Not everyone wants to be reminded of them.

David, how could you?
I first tried David bars last year sometime when they first came out, and did enjoy them, though didn’t reorder because of the price. But lately I’ve been seeing a bunch of ads for them which put them back on my radar, so decided to order the variety pack to try them again. The good news? They all tasted amazing. I loved the taste, especially the salted peanut butter. The texture was absolutely awesome, just about the best bar I’ve ever tried. I admit the blueberry tasted nothing at all like blueberry but was tasty in its own right as long as you didn’t think of it as blueberry. I was all ready to look into seeing if there were sample packs of the cinnamon roll and the red velvet, the two flavors i hadn’t tried. But then the bad news. :-( I had checked ingredients when I bought them last year but hadn’t bothered to recheck again with this new batch, but when I did I found they now contain maltitol, sucralose, and ace-K. I will never willingly touch maltitol ever! What a bummer. I’m so disappointed. Not to mention, I’m also T2 diabetic and these bars raise my BG by 30-40 points. So, sadly, I won’t be ordering David again unless things change. But keeping it 3 stars since taste and texture is amazing and if you want a good protein hit and don’t mind the new sweeteners you might be happy with these bars.
