Gladiator II [Region A & B & C]

Worthy successor in my opinion. No it is not Gladiator and rarely does a sequel of that calibre match the expectation. It is a fantastic film to enjoy in its own right and ok the CG is obvious in places but good CG all the same . It stands up as a plot and story , the direction is paced well and keeps you interested . It shows Rome in all its splendours and violence and has historical facts inserted to add a little something also I recommend and definitely worth taking the plunge. 🤣

Good film but not as good as the first but worth a watch.

Good film worth watching

Delivered in the indicated likely precise time. I had cinematic experience watching and once more on blu ray when get round to. Actually had a idea where this film may lead judging from first one if anything to go by. Aspects of sound characters set pieces,scenes demonstrates profound respect for from predecessors while embracing bold fresh storytelling. It's narrative masterfully balance innovation and nostalgia Lucilla princess character reprising her role from first film embodies nobility strength,Pedro pascal general acacius compelling hero despite limited screen time leaves impression of charisma and depth he shows. As anticipated gladiator games that pitted captured warriors other than man and animals fight to survive. Denzel Washington commanding presence elevates the film to new heights,performance is nothing short of extraordinary,adds gravitas magnetic intensity in every scene. Despite the negative reviews it not put me off and not bad as people think. Impressive stunning visuals,action sequences cinematography. Praised sets,battle scenes are top draw. It gets my praise

good film plenty of action AND SUBTITLES, not as good as the oridinal but i enjoyed it, a film you can watch more than a few times, i know i will , very pleased i bought it.

Practically a re- run of Gladiator 1 but without the charisma. Ridley Scott has dropped the ball with this one. Paul Mescal is a puny version of Russell Crowe and it is hard to maintain empathy for him . The cinematography is heavily influenced by CGI , the animals in the Colosseum are ridiculous especially the Baboon/ Dog creatures and the Emperors are gay parodies of themselves.Overall a very disappointing film - worth a look on Blu Ray perhaps but so forgettable .

Not too bad a film. It’s good that it took you back to the original film in parts it helped to understand what was going on.

Been looking forward to get a copy of this film .It completes the series ,Worth the money .will recommend this film to anybody.
