Great shorts. I wear between a 36-38 bottoms and got these in a xxl. Ordered another pair in xl. Xl gives the fit pictured. Xxl fits well still but slighty longer and a tad bit roomier. Great materials and very comfortable. My go to workout shorts from now on.

I absolutely love these shorts. I purchased one pair and loved it so much, I got 6 more of varying colors.The quality is great. I like the colors and styles. The inner liner fits nicely and is comfortable. I don't need to wear underwear when I wear these. There is a side loop to hang your shirt if needed. There is a hidden pocket on one of the legs for your phone. The front pockets are nice and deep. You can fit a 12 oz drink in them easily. There is a back pocket with a zipper.I am 6' 190 pounds and could wear the large or extra large. I like a slightly tighter fit, so I prefer large.

Super comfortable shorts, honestly one of my favorite pairs to put on when I’m going fishing. The pockets don’t feel like they can hold a ton but for wallet and a phone it’s no problem. I don’t workout in them because I got the khakis and they definitely have a casual look. The compression shorts are great and not overly constricting, and I have pretty thick thighs. So far with all the outdoor activities I’ve done these shorts have held up making them feel pretty durable for everyday use. 10/10 would buy again.

TL:DR: Great chubbies knockoff/alternative, but don't expect an exact copy. If you're on the fence, I'd say just give them a shot. Its a solid recommend from this guy.Pros:- They look great, very similar to chubbies/other alternatives.- Less than 50% the price of chubbies, ~75% of the quality, and ~80% the same look- Lightweight (but not SUPER lightweight)- Doesn't seem like they will fall apart (I will update if they do)Cons:- Elastic waistband is essentially useless. I ordered a Medium first, then a small, and the waist seemed to be the same circumference. The drawstring helps, but you have to cinch it tight, which I don't always want to do as I want the elastic waistband to do its job.- The compression liner is good, but not on par with chubbies. The material is not as lightweight/thin, breathable, nor as stretchy as some of the other alternatives out there. The same thing could be said about the actual shorts material, but overall, they are not bad, just not great.- The inner mesh pockets are meh. They fit a phone really nicely so it doesn't slip out, but other than that, I kept jamming my hand in the little pocket when I was trying to get something from the bottom of the main pocket.TBD:- Customer support. Since I just received these and have not needed to contact support, I cannot speak on that- DurabilityFor 50% the price of the super pricey shorts, you get 75-80% of the quality and look. I already ordered another pair. If you're looking for knockoff of Chubbies' gym shorts (of which I own 4 pairs) these are your shorts. However, do not expect the same quality. The quality of these shorts for the price is solid.

Great pair of shorts. They are light and breathable, while feeling durable and well-made. The available pockets are great for the exercise category. However you should put some thought into underwear choice, as the 2 layerd design can feel uncomfortable with certain underwear styles.

We all want Chubbies (wait what?) but we also know that one pair of Chubbies will take about 60 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon out of your cooler. Can you afford to be out of beer for 10 days? Well, they are pretty cool shorts.These maamgic "Star" shorts are a nice knockoff version of the Chubbies Danger Zones. maamgic? Sounds like they were deciding on a company name after 60 cans of Pabst.Bottom line - the maamgic shorts are pretty comfortable. Even though they're short, the inner liner (like a pair of boxer briefs) and shell of the shorts both STRETCH which doesn't restrict movement. Honestly, I was super surprised how comfortable they are. Just the right about of stretch that still feels secure in the pool, in the ocean, and on runs. And the polyester material is very smooth. They describe it as buttery. I agree. Nice touch adding the American Flag theme underneath...wait they stole that idea.Sizing. That's the tough thing about Chinese brands. Demographics and models for sizing are different in each country. I'm 5'10" and 170 lbs with a 33 inch waist. No beer gut ironically with my beer choice. And, on their listing they say I should be a Large. But, I went with customer reviews advising others to order normally, and I did. The size Medium fit great around the waist - just like standard US sizing. Only thing that is snug is around the hips but the stretch helps with comfort. I don't think the sizing is off on the hips, I think it's just better described as slim fit. If you wear slim fit, order normally.I use my maamgic shorts (maybe they tried to say "magic" while eating peanut butter) 3 times a week for running, and I just hop in the pool right after. No need to change. Then just wring them out, flip out the inner shorts, and let it try overnight.Durability? I washed them a few times already, and they've survived. Don't see any fading from the chlorine in the pool and I haven't popped any seams. For just a little over $30 - it's a good deal for 2-in-1 athletic shorts when compared to any major brand. Sure, I'll buy more.

Probably should have gotten a small. 5'7 and 160. Typically wear 32 x30. The built in shorts fit well. The waist just needs tightening all the way. Aside from that all the materials and build are good.
