I'm a licensed plumber who does a lot of product testing, worked with a lot of different brands on a professional level, and this is by far my favorite variation of water pump pliers or channel locks. The grip is fantastic, the narrow jaws fit where most will not, the jaws stay sharp for longer, the one handed usability is fantastic, they're simply the best. I used them to hold a copper fitting I needed to reuse while I torched it to melt the solder, didn't ruin the temper. I can't advocate these enough, thanks knipex

I've had pliers and more pliers over the years, but finally decided to spend the extra bucks on the Knipex Cobra. Whatever the steel is used in the teeth is unbelievably strong. They bite into anything! Absolutely no slippage once you get something in the jaws. And the precision of the jaws aligning (especially the very tip of the pincers) is flawless. I can't speak to longevity, but I know that Knipex has a reputation of making tools that last and last. Absolutely worth the extra few dollars.

Made in Germany and the tool works well. A little pricey but good tools cost money. Handles seem to hold up on the job unlike the channellock brand where the blue rubber will typically split. Hopefully this is the last time I have to buy these

Can't go too wrong with KNIPEX. These are small enough to slip into tight spots with a wide grip range and durable enough for good turning torque. These will scar and scrape if they slip on what you're trying to get off so wrap the teeth if you're worried about that. Great quality pliers.

Incredible quality, German craftsmanship! A little klutzy compared to standard ones but they do not dull and they GRIP. Pricey but quality is usually worth every penny in the long run. But it ONCE!

I recently decided to start upgrading my tool set from consumer quality Lowe Depot tools to something that will last, and ultimately settled on Knipex. After switching over a handful of tools already, I am extremely happy with the quality and workmanship put into their tools. The teeth are tight when closed and there is no side play in the two sides. I also like the comfort grip handles over the regular rubber coated, as it better fits my hands and makes them more comfortable to use. I also love the fact that the adjusted length doesn't slip back up when using them, it gets locked in at the opening you need. Previous adjustable pliers I used, even ones that "locked", only prevented them from getting larger while using, but they would slip back to a smaller opening while using without fail. These get locked in and prevent movement both up and down. All of that, coupled with the tool steel used in the pliers themselves, and I can see using these for years to come.
