Pepper spray works well, sprays about 6 feet and has a wide distribution. You will not miss your target and will probably cause a lot of others close to your target to join in on the fun. I do not think that this will work well on Bears, you need about a 30 foot stream of spray. But it will work well on two-legged urban predators and all of their friends. 9.2 ounces is enough to hose down an entire crowd. Just do not get any in your eyes like I did. LOL.

nice size can easy to carry, have not had to use it yet, but my friend has the same stuff and he said it works great for vicious Dogs, I hear Black Bear are back in the area, so it will come in handy if one come around.

If I could give this product 0 stars, I absolutely would. For over a month, aggressive geese in my area have been attacking other geese and even people walking by with their dogs. After repeatedly dealing with the issue, I purchased this bear spray as a last-resort deterrent in case one of the geese charged at me or my dog during our walks. Unfortunately, the day finally came where I had to use it — and the product completely failed. I removed the safety tab, aimed directly at the geese, and instead of spraying properly, the can malfunctioned and sprayed everywhere, including all over my hands and clothes. Thankfully none got into my eyes, because it easily could have been much worse. More than 12 hours later, my hands are still burning from the exposure. This product failed at the one thing it was designed to do: work reliably when needed most. That’s what makes this especially concerning. If this had been an actual bear encounter or another serious emergency situation, a malfunction like this could have had dangerous consequences. I strongly do NOT recommend this product. Spend the extra money on a higher-quality bear spray from a reputable brand that you can actually trust to perform correctly when it matters.

purchased for off grid camping downstate. thankfully is wasn’t needed, but put me at ease having it with me on our hikes. Bottle is intact & I will just trust the reviews I had read while purchasing that it works. The bottle is quite large compared to others I had looked at, so keep that in mind.

Dropped a threatening homeless man like a sack of dirt. Make sure you’re spraying down wind or you run the risk of the overspray chocking you out.
