I adore this shelf. It looks great on the wall, and I love the hidden hooks for my keys. The wood is beautiful and not too orangey brown as many walnut finishes can look. Hanging it was quite easy- it had a nice little cardboard template that came with making it super easy to mark and drill. It seems like it will hold up well- it’s heavy but not so much that I’m worried about it coming off the wall. There were three size options for this piece- one for keys and two others (including this one) for coats. The width of this one fit my wall better, so I bought it instead of the key sized one. With that said, not sure this would be the best coat holder. The actual size miiiiight be able to hold 3 adult jackets, nothing too poofy, or 1-2 more kids items. For the cost, it’s beautiful, and I’d buy it again, but I probably wouldn’t had I bought it for coats.

I put two of these in at remodeled cottage where there were no coat closets at the front and back doors. This was a great solution to the problem. I also stage houses and these look very nice hanging on the wall. They came packaged really well. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to provide a pattern guide to use in the hanging process. The screw holes are hard to mark on the wall because it's tucked up inside; you can't get a pencil inside, so we used the screw to make a dent. Super important to get this level so best to have someone to hold and level while the other is trying to push the screw into the wall to mark. Also make sure you don't screw the head of the screw flush but leave just the right amount of head sticking out for mounting. Popping it on is really easy from there. If there had been a guide to help hang, I certainly could have done this by myself then this would have been a 5 star!

This coat rack wall mount is fantastic! If you’re going for minimalist while still being sturdy this is the right purchase. I love that it can hold pictures or items on top as well. It is also thin enough to fit right behind a door. It’s all metal aside from the plywood veneer, so it’s very sturdy. And we haven’t hung anything on it that can bend a hook yet. If you know how to hang a picture frame or curtain rods, then this is an easy install.
