After nearly a year of fantastic results with my Gweike G2 Plus 20W, I felt confident in the build quality and performance. As I had some upcoming projects in my makerspace that meant I would need increase my number of items I was engraving at a time, I decided to upgrade to the Gweike G2 Max 50W fiber laser. I estimated the increased speed would be worth the higher price tag. The Max did not disappoint.Having already gone through the initial learning curve with the 20W model, the setup of the G2 Max felt very familiar and even smoother. The connection between the laser and the base unit was a little different (a permanent connection vs plug in wires) but other than that setup was pretty much the same. The software integration with Lightburn was the same, just changing the model in the software.The most immediate and noticeable difference is the speed of this 50W laser. Projects that used to take a longer on the 20W are now completed in a fraction of that time. This has increased my throughput and allowed me produce deep engraved challenge coins much faster (and I was pretty pleased with the 20w version)Beyond the speed, the increased power makes cutting thicker materials a breeze. The quality of the engraving is great, just like with the G2 Plus, but with the added benefit of significantly reduced processing times.I am very happy with the Gweike G2 Max 50W. This has been a great upgrade and so far has been as reliable as the 20w version. Great addition to my workshop, and I recommend it folks needing an affordable higher powered fiber laser.

Purchased the GWEIKE G2 Max 50W Fiber Laser Engraver because I wanted to engrave some metal items that my diode laser was not capable of engraving. Everything was well packed, much more robust than I thought it would be when I ordered it. After setup (which didn't take very long maybe 30 minutes) I was engraving my first item which was an anodized aluminum business card. I have to say that it came out pretty darn good!After 3 weeks I ran into an issue with the laser, however GWEIKE stepped up and handled everything to my satisfaction. The laser is well built, works with the common software you would use with a laser engraver (free and paid software) and I have been impressed with how well this unit engraves on Aluminum, Brass and Stainless Steel (the three metals I have tried so far). The machine is easy to focus and I appreciate the number of videos and documentation files that GWEIKE has produced to help get you up and running quickly!It is a no brainer purchase if you are looking for a 50 watt fiber laser that will get the job done!

I really like this laser. It's really compact and portable but has lots of power. I've made metal cards, dogtags, and brass coins and all are coming out perfect! I haven't tried cutting much but for engraving and deep engraving it's great!

Showed up in damaged packaging. Caught fire as soon as powered up. Parts were all scattered in box. SAILS DEPARTMENT, was not helpful saying its somehow was not there problem. Once i found all the parts it was simple to put together, though protection from laser is poorly designed, won't cover your part usless it's paper thin. Once assembled, as soon as key was turned controller caught fire!!!!! Luckily I've used all types of laser and had no combustible items close. Returning immediately. Also because of poor packaging I canceled upgrade components before they shipped.

The media could not be loaded. I have used a diode laser before, but I wanted to engrave metal and make coins and some other deep engraving. If you look at the attached photos, you can see a cheap dollar store scraper with really nice colors for a non-mopa laser. You can also see my first attempt at engraving a cheap 1mm by 20mm diameter brass blank. That is my first attempt. I have not gotten cleanup right but the detail is great. In learning, I have burned a hole in another stainless scraper so this 50 watt unit has enough power to warp and mess up stainless so it needs to be used carefully, but that color test proves that it can be used with a bit of planning. Settings for the coin were 15,000mm/min, 20%-90% power, 80 khz, 1000dpi, 100 passes. 1 cleanup pass per four cutting passes, 3000mm/min, 78khz, 20% power. I don't think the cleanup did anything.The laser comes with a shield.This was important to me since some deep engravings can take hours. I don't want to blind my cat and he won't wear the glasses. The shield has a small fan, I stick my 240cfm ventilator on that hole and exhaust outside.

The media could not be loaded. This engraver is awesome! Definitely worth the money!! Extremely easy to assemble and operate. This company’s customer service is impeccable as well. I had an issue with the framing beam, I contacted the company and a team of them addressed it. Very professional and helpful! I will be buying more lasers from them in the near future!

Excellent craftsmanship. Completed my most challenging task and did so without interruptions. Perfect out of the box.Minor "leveling" adjustment was needed between laser unit and mounting bracket. Would HIGHLY recommend Gweike for the serious entrepreneur or die-hard hobbyist. Unit arrived well packaged, and all components were included. If the initial test runs are any indication to the durability of this laser unit I will be extremely pleased.
