This LP deserves more recognation than the one hit Promise You Made...All the songs are fantastic. The lyrics are thought provoking and the music is catchy.

This is one of those CD's that never leaves your conscience. The music is mature and well done. I wore out the last CD and lost it in the last 10 years so I'm getting the replacement. Great music that to me is timeless.

I love Cock Robin. I'm confused as to why they never got more popular. They are truely talented. Almost every song on this cd is really good.

カリフォルニア発、と来ればそれだけで大同小異の大味ロックを想像してしまいがち。が、同郷出身のこの人たちはちょっと違います。稀にニューウェイヴの一派として扱われることからもわかるように、同地では発生しづらい“陰”な部分が他の凡百AORとは一線を画していて、そういう非アメリカ的な所が欧州での人気に繋がったのでしょう。(実際、本作《85”からのチャートアクションは自国よりも遥かに良かった)自分的にはNWに分類するにはもうちょい緻密さに欠ける印象。AORのメロウさとイギリスっぽいキーボードが合わさった辺りはかなり魅力的なんですが…NWになりそうでならなかった(なれなかった)ポップロックってとこでしょうか。作品としてはフツーに良いと思います。あと全くの余談ながら、エキゾチックな魅力を振り撒く紅一点の女性ボーカリスト=ANNA LACAZIOはイタリア系と中国系のハーフとのこと。

J'ai adoré ce groupe lorsque j'étais ado et j'aime toujours. Les voix des chanteurs sont toujours superbes, même si les musiques sont très 80.
