I used this as a carry on. South west didn’t give me any trouble with sizing even though it is slightly larger than some airlines carry on guidelines. I’d like this to have 4 wheels instead of two, but it did what I needed it to do. Perfect for weekend trips.

Yall need to work on quality control. Inside zipper missing pull tab. Not good for 240 plus tax smh

I've owned a lot of 5.11 stuff over the years and the name has a good reputation with tactical gear and clothing so when I needed new carry on and saw this, I had to give it a try. First off, this is VERY lightweight which all good luggage should be. No, it does not have 4 wheels. I know this bothers some but I can still handle my luggage using only two wheels. If that's an issue for you, I get it but I'm okay with it so I'm not knocking it. As you know, you'll save a lot of time finding your luggage on a carousel when your luggage doesn't blend in and the color and look of this luggage stands out nicely. If you need to check this, no worries, all the zippers will accept locks and it expands nicely with the use of another zipper. The inner compartments keep your items separated and easy to find. Do I feel this is a great value? Not entirely. I can probably find a carry on for less but it will certainly not have the tactical/military look that this one has and carry the reputation of a company known for making hard wearing clothing and gear.

This luggage is well designed and built with quality materials. I really like how it has a laptop protector on the inside in the middle. Now I no longer have to worry about my laptop rolling around or having to wrap it up and stick it inside. That was definitely the highlight of the luggage. It has two wheels on it, and they are big wheels that let me pull this down a gravel trail without any problem. The handle extends long enough and being over 6 ft I have no problem pulling this comfortably. I liked the green color, it's a dark green that looks nice. The zippers work very well and are very easy to use. There's plenty of storage space inside, I can easily fit a weeks worth of clothes in the luggage. The back side is made out of a hard black rubber plastic, which doesn't scuff or show marks easily. It even has TSA approved locks on the outside that you can set to whatever number code you prefer. It's lightweight yet built solid. I definitely recommend this carry-on.

My husband prefers OD green duffel bags and packs. Finding a suitcase to match - in the color that 5.11 calls ranger green has been a big challenge. I care if he has a suitcase to match his other gear - he doesn’t. When I had a chance to choose this suitcase from 5.11 I was thrilled. The suitcase is not a spinner. This suitcase has inline wheels on the back and just balancing pegs on the front. Spinners can be rolled holding the handle straight up and on 4 wheels. It requires being tilted and rolling on 2 wheels to move without being carried. The back is black polycarbonate with the area for the handle made into the shell. I wish the logo was on the suitcase in more places than just the front lower corner of the green fabric. The black polycarbonate would have been a good place to emboss the full logo…and it does have the outline of a square with an + mark inside on the back…just not the complete logo for those who are not quite in the know. At the same time, know that most military / tactical guys don’t want too much flash. A bit of the gray man theory. The price is a bit steep, in my opinion. But then if anyone is considering this suitcase, they likely are ok with the price point of the brand.
