Novel lacing system.
Good quality safety trainers. Seem well made. True to size. Fit well.I haven't worn them for long as yet, but they are comfortable.I'll only use for motorbike riding in summer. Hopefully their claim of breathable fabric is true. The safety element of steel toecap and the design of the ankle part of the sole should protect the foot quite well.Obviously their toughness remains to be seen, as does their longevity, but for the money I reckon they're good value. They use a twist and lock system instead of laces. I've never tried this before but if it works properly it should be ideal for biking (no laces to catch on gear/brake levers). So, at first glance I'm pleased with these trainers. As long as the lacing system functions I think they'll prove to be fit for purpose.

The media could not be loaded. Excellent quality, been wearing for a week, very comfortable, the ratchet lace is easy to do up and undo quickly the shoe is wide yet very comfortable, very thick sole, and a strong heel cushion so I can put on the shoes without reaching down,Down side, on two occasions a nettle caught the racket and released the lace but it didn’t come undone, but just felt loose,Laces do creak while walking, but not noticeable unless sat in a quite room etc…I definitely buy again, I bought size 11 and I’m a 10.5 shoe size.

Too comfortable?
I wear these to work a couple of times a week and have found them to be unreasonably comfortable! They have a soft sole which is about an inch (25mm) thick and they also have a padded innersole which is a further4/5mm thick and this obviously helps with the comfort aspect. They are marginally wider than most 'trainers' I have previously worn and this gives your feet a little more room - the actual sizing (my pair are an '8') also feel marginally longer than normal by perhaps a few mm's - basically my toes are not rubbing against the inner front area, which depending on make can happen at my sizing. They are pretty lightweight and do not feel any heavier than a standard pair of trainers - the steel toe cap protection is hardly obvious and as stated does not seem to add very much to the weight of the footwear. The 'lace' contraption is obviously something of a gimmick? I have had no issue with it, I admit that the actual 'laces' appear to be a very thin plastic and do not seem very strong, but I have adjusted them a few times and they are still intact - I suggest you work out how to use them and just set them up so you can 'slip' the footwear' on and off without constantly tightening and loosening them, which is what most people do with trainers anyway, isn't it?So, overall I really like these, in fact I wish I had come across them years ago because I just spent 2 decades wearing De Walt boots which are great, but a boot is never going to be as comfortable as a trainer - and in the college I worked in I did not necessarily have to wear boots, but rather just something with protective toe caps. One last thing:WARNING: the first time I wore these to drive they initially felt 'awkward' because of the thick soft sole and slightly larger profile, I clipped adjacent pedals a few times and it took a few moments to get comfortable with applying 'pressure' because (as just stated) the soft sole makes it harder to discern how much force you are applying - but it only lasted a short while, but it did throw me out at first!

Thin tread
They feel really nice to wear but unfortunately the tread is so thin the boots have already split only worn for 2 weeks.

Happy with them, lasted more than 6 months
One of the most comfortable pairs of work shoes I've ever had, made well.I've had the 6 months now and work full time in a production factory. Never really got them dirty. I've never had to wash them. After 6 months of fairly constant use the tread has worn down to where they are quite slippy on wet surfaces, the material is coming away from the sole. For the price I paid and the comfort I think 6 months is pretty reasonable.I would probably but these again but for now I will try some others.Great purchase thoughI would recommend
