Surprisingly Good Little Microphone
I originally bought the Amazon Basics Desktop Mini Condenser Microphone as a gift for a friend. After hearing how clear it sounded, I was impressed enough to get one for myself—to use when I’m away from home and can’t rely on my usual Blue Yeti setup. For such a small and inexpensive microphone, the sound quality is excellent. In most situations, there’s hardly any noticeable difference between this and the much larger (and pricier) Blue Yeti. Voices come through clearly, with minimal background noise, and it’s perfectly suitable for video calls, recordings, or dictation. It’s compact, easy to set up, and does the job without fuss. A very useful piece of kit to have on hand, whether as a travel option or a daily microphone for basic needs.

Amazing value for money
Picked up this mic as was replacing my old headset with one that did not have a dedicated mic. Quick and easy to install (simple USB to PC) and placed on desktop.Mainly used for discord when speaking to friends whilst online gaming and comments i've had back are amazing about the sound quality vs previous mic. Doesn't need any real tweaking to cut out background noise. 10/10 and would recommend for the value over any other mic.

A Great Microphone for the price - but very sensitive
There are plenty of reviews on YouTube and other places that say this is the best condenser microphone under £50. It could well be - I haven't tested any others. The sound quality from it is very good and there is little noise from the mic itself (easily removed using noise reduction in your audio software - I use Audacity which is free).Be warned though the microphone is very sensitive. Sitting in a room at the back of the house, with all the doors shut, the mic can pick up the noise of a dog barking out front in the street - or a lorry passing, or pretty much anything above a whisper several rooms away. If you are going to buy the mic for home use then this might be a problem - as it is for me trying to record audio for educational material. You are probably going to need sound-proofing of some sort. Perhaps I should have bought a dynamic mic which is less sensitive. The microphone is dead-easy to set up - just plug the USB into a Windows 10 computer and you are ready to go. Get a pop filter for it too.It is a very good microphone for the price provided you can avoid extraneous noise.UPDATE:I've now been using this microphone for six weeks to record video. The sound quality of the recording is very good - nice and clear and crip - and there is no microphone hiss. My only problem with it is that it is very sensitive and picks up other noises very easily. It can pick up a dog barking outside or a heavy vehicle passing; it even picks up the sound of a tap being run downstairs; and it seems to pick up the noise of me moving about in my chair (I didn't think I made a noise but this mic picks the muffled sound of movement). For me this is a problem because it makes my audio sound amateurish. When I can afford it I am going to move to a dynamic microphone which should be less sensitive to extraneous noise.

A fantastic, cheap mic
I’ve lost count of how many of these we have bought and posted to clients - for the price the sound quality is superb. They can be prone to ‘popping’ so careful about how you position it but for £30 it’s a bargain. Easy to use with one button on top and USB A cable.

Not that small..!
I had hoped for something small but this 6.5 cm diameter on the mic 11 cm long and 20cm high. All too big if you simply want to Skype.

Great mic!
It was easy to plug-in-and-play. The quality is great for what you get. It will take up a rather large portion of your desk so make sure you have enough room for it. I also found it picked up my mouse clicks (but that is more of a software tweaking issue than the mic for when it should be active)

Great!…for a few months
Used twice monthly for 5 months. Was fine at first. Used for online acoustic music lessons. Suddenly stopped working. Tried to click on refund but go round in circles on Amazon with their trouble shooting pages and does not allow to continue obtaining refund. Was hopeful but have given up. Should have bought a Yeti as planned. When something’s too cheap to believe……
