Works perfectly with Glock 19X and 43X
EDIT: I traded in my Rugers for a Glock 19X and a Glock 43X mos. With the Glocks this device works perfectly. The Glocks don't keep their firing pin sticking into the laser cartridge so you get a momentary flash of laser and then its off. This works great with my idryfire target. I also added a Mantis X2 so I can see how I am holding and firing the pistols. This makes in house training fun and productive. Highly recommend.I purchased this laser cartridge in 9mm to work in my Ruger SR9c so I could use it with an idryfire target. The laser is easily powerful enough to be detected by the target. It fits pretty tightly into the barrel and it is not ejected when cycling the pistol so to get the cartridge out I had to use a chopstick like a rod to push it back so I could get it out. Not a big deal but be aware that it is tight in the barrel. Another issue I have is that my firing pin in the Ruger sticks out when hit. The hammer won't immediately come back so the pin continually presses on the back of the cartridge once the trigger is pulled. That means that the laser continually shoots the beam out of the barrel until the gun is recycled. The switch on the cartridge is where the primer would be and is a continuously on/off type switch. I wish the switch was momentary so that when the firing pin hits it the laser turns on and then automatically turns back off after 1/2 to 1 second. That would allow it to work much better in firearms where the firing pin stays forward after the trigger is pulled.

Fits anything chambered in 9x19mm
The case is absolutely identical to and could be easily confused with a $80 Laserhit HD cartridge. The only difference is in electronics: this one has none, while Laserhit HD limits the pulse to 1/1000s.This difference has 2 consequences. Firstly, it will drain the batteries magnitudes faster - my HD is still on its original battery 5 years later, while I've seriously depleted this cartridge's battery (the same battery as HD, by the way) in about an hour of dry firing. Buy batteries in bulk! The second consequence is that if your trigger pull is not perfect (and let's be honest, no one's perfect!), the projected pulse will look more like a smear than a dot (HD is way more realistic as a "laser range" tool). This can be good if you use it on static targets to analyze your errors, although a red dot sight will provide more feedback... Or it could encourage a really bad trigger pull with intentional "smearing" in order to hit a cheap interactive laser target (not all cheap interactive targets are capable of registering a HD pulse). As usual, the end result is entirely in your hands. To keep yourself honest, I would highly recommend using this cartridge with a MantisX sensor.

Works fine little rough to shut slide
Sometimes the slide will stick and not shut but a quick little tap and it seats it functions great does not hurt the pew and came with extra batteries so far I am 700 shots in on first batteries so that’s good 👍

It didn't work.
This device did not work at all. I would have returned it, had the tiny laser not become lost in the day it was on my coffee table. There are also no directions. It was not immediately clear how many of the batteries are supposed to be used, or why there is a bag of o-rings included (yes there are o-rings in the laser cartridge, but why would they need replacement?).

Works great!
Works as intended for sig P365. Did not need to change O rings for fit. You do need a brass rod or cleaning rod to clear the chamber when finished using.

Gun oil will be your friend!
No instructions and for the life of me I cannot read the battery size. At first I didn’t think it would fit in my chamber and allow the slide into battery, but after oiling the rear o-ring it fit tight. Very tight. Requires a squib rod to remove, but no excessive “force”.So far I would call it a good value.

Much better deal than the Pink Rhino
I have the Pink Rhino that comes with the Mantis Laser Academy. One of the silicone O rings on that one came off and it made dry fire inaccurate. I decided to just get one of these while replacement O rings came in the mail. This cartridge is virtually identical to the Pink Rhino, fits my P229 Legion 9mm perfectly, and is dead on accurate. It comes with spare batteries, and a spare button/back in case your firing pin beats up the rear casing. So far I have fired about 2000 times with the laser academy and its still on the first set of batteries. What an awesome package at a fraction of the cost of the Pink Rhino. If you're in the market for something like Laser Academy, just buy this laser, download the free targets and free app from Mantis and you're golden. No need to spend hundreds for a fun dry fire experience.
