4.5 starsThe finish/coating is Excellent! I bumped it around, dropped it and scraped it, and the coating held strong. Very good.The anchors are good quality. I set anchors into the concrete so I didn’t need them, but it’s great that good anchors were included.The advertisement is correct on measurements of the item and viable board size.I would not call these heavy duty, but they are sturdy, straight and square. They are lightweight, easy to handle, and can be drilled into if necessary.They are more affordable than custom pieces that I could make.

Good posts, but a few flaws. They are straight and true, sturdy, and the powder coating seems well done. However, a few things caused me to reduce it by a star. First, there are no skirts to cover the bolt heads where it screws into the base. The absence of them causes it to look unfinished. Second, the included anchor bolt style is a really bad idea. That type anchor, once installed, is impossible to remove without serious damage to your concrete. Since it is drilled into a horizontal slab of concrete, the holes for the anchor will fill with water, and rust in very short order. Therefore, when they fail (as they will in very short order, due to the aforementioned, as well as the amount of lateral stress placed on them when anything pushes on the fence from the side), the repair will be a nightmare. I saved these anchors for a more appropriate application, perhaps a wall or interior floor, and used lag bolts and shields, as they can easily be removed regardless of condition, with a driver (for the bolts) and small magnet (for the shields). Just warning other buyers so they aren’t cursing about it in a few years.

I have built numerous fences of various types and styles over the years but have never built one of this design. First, the post is very good quality... straight and clean with no sharp edges or burrs. The black finish looks sharp. Though made of aluminum, it is very strong.We have a row of raised garden beds and just to the north are numerous blackberry vines we planted three years ago. The vines want to grow into the raised bed on that end, so I built a single section fence using these posts to block the vines. It turned out great.You could really get creative with these posts... and not having to worry about wooden posts rotting is a huge plus. Pressure treated wood just doesn’t hold up since they changed the treatment chemicals several years ago.My only negative is the slots are only ¾” wide and I really wanted to use 2” x 6” boards, which of course would measure 1-1/2” in thickness. You can’t even use deck boards, which have a finished thickness of 1”.Yes, these aluminum posts are expensive but are well made and durable.
