I never had a problem with water plugging up my ears until this past summer. On two occasions, I went swimming and got water in my ears, which plugged them up for up to two days after. Since I was going on vacation for a week, and knew I'd be swimming and snorkeling in both pools and the ocean, I wanted to make sure I would have something to prevent water from getting in my ears. After browsing Amazon for a while, I decided to try these, as they seemed to have the best ratings and reviews.I was not disappointed.All of last week, I was swimming and snorkeling, and each time, I wore these AquaBlock earplugs. Not a drop of water got in my ears, and I was able to swim without suffering from plugged ears for days afterward. I was extremely pleased! Not only that, but the earplugs are extremely easy to insert and remove, and are very comfortable. They also provide an extra pair (in case you're like me and tend to lose things), and come in a clear plastic container so that they stay clean and in tact and don't get lost in your bag.Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of earplugs for swimming or bathing.

I’m an aquatic athlete as well as a musician. These are my go-to earplugs, and in fact the ONLY earplugs I will use, for surfing and swimming. The silicon is soft and comfortable. I once had a different brand of aquatic earplugs with a harder stem; my surfboard hit me in the side of the head during a wipeout and drove the plug so far into my ear canal that I almost couldn’t retrieve it. It was a super painful experience & a panicky situation. Since then, THESE are the only plugs I will use. I also like them for loud situations because unlike foam earplugs, which require an involved two-handed process for inserting them into the ear canal, these I can get into my ears with a deft lick and a stick. Great product.

First thing's first: if inserted properly, these ear plugs are so effective that not only will they keep water out, but they keep most sound out too. When I wear them while swimming, all I can hear is my stroke and my breathing. That's it. I only breathe on one side (right), and I was getting swimmer's ear a lot because of the constant in/out of my right ear in the water. With these plugs in, not even a drop of water gets in my ear.The only drawback that I can think of is that wearing these earplugs changes my breathing pattern ever so slightly. Of course I never recognized it before, but having my ear canals open enabled me to breathe out through my nose more effectively and to engage my swallow reflex whenever I wanted (not to swallow pool water, of course, just to swallow because...I feel like swallowing sometimes). With these plugs in, I have trouble swallowing on command and exhaling forcefully through my nose. The result is a small amount of water gets stuck at the back of my throat, where the nasal passage meets the throat. It's the kind of thing I'll have to get used to, of course, and tremendously better than swimmer's ear. But it does happen and it does feel quite strange at first.Other than that, this product is excellent. Make sure to "twist" the plugs into your ear and not to just shove them in there. The twisting motion is what causes the water-tight seal to form.

I like swimming laps for fitness but hate the water that gets in my inner year and sloshes around for a couple of days. Very annoying. I just used these for the first time and they sealed both ear canals from water and were very comfortable. Color me happy.

This is the second time I have bought these. They work very well in my ears and keep the water at bay. The order came on time and in order.

UPDATE - I would suggest that if you decide to get this one, never get the clear color because it is so difficult to find when it falls off your ear or your hand. I've lost them already.It does the job of preventing the water from entering my ear but I have to keep adjusting it to a certain angle to keep it in place. I am still using it but I am already in search for a new ear plug that will stay in place. Not all ears are the same so if this fits your ear then good for you. I, however, will have to keep searching.

I struggled to learn how to swim when Covid started. I was nauseous a lot, and wore ear plugs (the foam squishy ones) to help, but they often fell out. I swim better now, after 4 years, but still dislike the feeling of water in my ears, plus I think it affects my hearing. I tried these Mack's today, and they were SO simple to put in (I am often mystified by instructions, diagrams, and even videos!) and they stayed in with no fuss at all! I'm buying another set in case I lose the first set. I really wish I had discovered these 4 years ago!

I've started swimming again after a five year lay off. I couldn't find my old ear plugs which were the same as these so I ordered this new set of four ear plugs. When you follow their instructions for ear plug insertion, they slip in nicely. They keep the water out of my ears. I recommend these swimming ear plugs.
