Is the mouth on the dog flexible? I'm worried it may not fit around the diameter of my stainless utensil handles.

Does the head rotate? Wanting to make sure the dirty end of the spoon can hang over the pot and not the counter.

I wondered this too and based on the pictures it looks like you have the dog straddle nose to tail for the spoon to drip into the pot.

Wouldn't the part of the spoon sticking out get too hot? Especially on a gas stove?
