Great Product for Dogs with Skin Rashes
I ordered this product for my dog, who is allergic to something outside and gets a rash that he scratches and causes infection. This product works GREAT. Dilute it to the color of iced tea and rub it on the affected area several times a day and it really helps clear it up before you have to resort to antibiotics. When you wipe it on, it is a bright yellow color. Don't worry; it won't stain your dog and it wipes right up. I keep mine in a spray bottle and spray it directly on the affected area, then mop off the excess.

This is the only one to buy
This is not a watery iodine. It is like a thin syrup. It does not drip all over when you are applying it to body surfaces. The higher price is well justified for this quality product. I made the mistake of trying a cheaper product and spent a lot of time regretting it while I used it up.

I thought their customer service was good..
I ordered this to use as a paw soak for my dog because she licks her paws. I then changed my mind about wanting it (thinking it wouldn't work) so I tried to cancel my order. I got an email from the company saying that it was too late to cancel, but that I could return it after I had received it. They didn't try to convince me to keep it, etc. I thought their customer service was good...especially considering the fact that I was the one being a bit flakey changing my mind. So, since it was too late to cancel, I decided to just keep it and give it a try. I used it once a day at night before bed and it does seem to reduce her itchiness. Sometimes I'll skip a day or two. When she starts biting again, I do the soak again. I recommend this if you have a dog with the itchy, yeasty feet. I'm getting ready to order another bottle right now. It lasts a long time, too.

Really helpful for dust mite allergies
I bought this to help with my dog's allergy to dust mites. His paws just get raw and he's miserable so I started soaking his paws in a mixture of water and providone iodine (mix until it's about the color of iced tea) for 2 to 5 minutes and then rinse it off. This helps SO much. He doesn't chew on his paws for a long time afterwards and they are a normal color again, even after the first time I did it i could tell the difference in his temperature. He isn't miserable just being anymore. If you want more information on this type of treatment for allergies you can find a bunch of information on line, but this product definitely helped my dog.

"Surgical scrub"
Mind you, this is a surgical scrub, containing soap, not just Betadine.

Veterinary grade at fraction of the cost
We have a lot of rescue dogs and they are always getting into stuff that causes some cut paws or scrapes that turn into "Hot Spots."After spending seventeen dollars for a 4 ounce bottle of the iodine scrub at the Vet's office, I found this to be as equally effective at a fraction of the cost. Same Povidone Iodine scrub that the vet pours from this bottle into a small one and charges you for the entire gallon. It is a safe and effective cleansing wash and shampoo that does not sting or need to rinsed.Save a pet and some money...a win-win combination.
