The Wiimote fits nicely in its slot. It took a second for it to register that it was connected to the guitar, but it worked just fine. It actually functions as a proper Wiimote. It has the plus and minus buttons, it has two sets of guitar buttons which can function as the A and B buttons, and it even has a Nunchuck joystick on the back of it. The lights are a very nice touch. You can either stick to one color or cycle through them. It's not a regular Guitar Hero guitar because they don't make the standard ones anymore because they also don't make any Guitar Heroes anymore so it didn't work as well on some of the older games. Some buttons weren't registering properly which kinda sucked, but it worked fine on the more updated games. Overall, if something happened to your original Guitar Hero guitar, this is a pretty good replacement.

Bought 2. One came broken and was not wrapped like the other so it seemed used.

This very much feels like one of the cheap third party guitar controllers that were ubiquitous in the genre's heyday.It has noisy actuation, sticky buttons and fairly poor compatibility, though I was able to get it configured for CloneHero, whether it works on real hardware is anyone's guess.I would honestly recommend trying to find official hardware, even used it's likely to work better.

This Wii guitar works great! I have used it with Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock. I used it the first day without charging it at all and it worked just fine. The wii remote plugs into it, and it works off of that. I did charge it before using it the next time however figuring it helps save battery on the wii remote.It comes with a guitar, strap, and charging cord (usb to usbc). There are two sets of buttons on the neck of the guitar, one at the top as they would normally be and another set at the bottom. My son actually likes using the lower set, he feels its easier for him. The lights on the guitar are cool, easy to cycle through the different colors with a button and/or turn off. I had to calibrate this in the video settings of the game which calculated a 47ms delay. Once doing that, it worked well and was pretty accurate even being wireless. So far no problems with this guitar and it works great. It's fun to be able to play Rock Band again as I had sold everything years ago.

Was able to get this setup on my PC. Colors look nice and the quality is good. This is probably a good starter guitar as the biggest flaw is the design of the buttons. They do not allow for sliding, so playing advanced songs would be pretty difficult. So keep that in mind.
