Considering the price of more expensive pumps that have less of a flow rate, this is a good value and I have had several of these pumps. With that being said the last one I had that was identical last somewhere between 5 to 7 years, running outdoors and being exposed to the weather. For a swimming pool pump that cost around 130 up to $180 at the time of purchase, I think that is a reasonable service life when more expensive pumps cost 500 to well over $1000. It does have self priming and will power up, but it is best when primed with water before starting the pump. The install was easy and it came with several different attachment options that made fitting it into my existing system much more manageable

Pump seem to have great quality lasted only six months and the motor burnt out tried to contact the vender They’re no longer on Amazon. Amazon did absolutely nothing for me and I lost out on the money. Had to buy a new pump.

The pump has more power and the price was a lot less than the pump I replaced. I didn't need the additional fittings, but they could be useful if I need to change the hoses.

The price was right. That's for sure. I normally have zero problems replacing the 220V pumps and with these cheap Chinese made pumps as of late, I've done a lot. From what I remember, we open the electric housing, flip the little switch inside to 220V, attach the two hot wires, the ground and turn the pump on. If I'm wrong, perhaps I've been living in an alternate universe where these things worked like that. This pump required me to call an electrician. The wiring diagram is all but useless and that switch on the back just complicates things. $175 for electrician, but it works. Won't get this model again.

Well, this is a sad story and I can’t really go into it. The pump works great but it’s just the wrong side. I’m gonna keep the pump I hire somebody to put in a pump in and they screwed it up. The pump I bought didn’t have the right fittings finally the guy came out here and fixed it. I spent 800 hundred to fix my pool and the guy to fix that
