Decent quality at an affordable price.
Very good monitor at a budget friendly price. Picture quality is great and it’s easy to put together. The settings were good out of the box, and I haven’t felt the need to change them. Good connectivity, including 3.5mm headphone jack, which I use it to hook up my speakers. It’s light weight without feeling flimsy and seems to be very well put together. There’s not anything to dislike at this price point.

If you could find a better one for better price, let me know
I work in the education sector, and most of my work requires using a PC. I had been using my laptop for everything, but due to poor posture, I started experiencing back issues. That’s when I decided it was time to upgrade my setup and get a monitor. I live in a single studio flat, so I wanted a decent monitor that could also double as my media device, as I don't have space for a TV.Initially, I bought a Lenovo Q24 (I think that’s the name) because it looked much sleeker than this one. However, I returned that monitor after noticing it had uneven brightness, which really bothered me.When I returned the Lenovo, I began searching for monitors again. Being on a tight budget didn’t give me many options. I was mostly presented with choices between either a no-name brand with an LCD panel or a well-known brand with a lower resolution, TN or VA panel, which often only had a 60Hz refresh rate.Fortunately, I stumbled across this monitor. It had an LCD panel from a reputable brand, a 100Hz refresh rate, and the price was a steal (I got it for under £70). I didn’t think twice and bought it immediately. The installation was straightforward, and I was amazed by its performance, especially the brightness and contrast levels. I also noticed that when watching films, the monitor automatically dims the display based on the scene, making the viewing experience very immersive. It even has built-in speakers, which are acceptable and handy when needed. The 100Hz refresh rate means I can play some games as well, and I haven’t noticed any flicker or eye strain, even though my eyes are quite sensitive.I was initially sceptical about the resolution, as it’s only 1080p, but it turned out to be more than adequate for my needs. I haven't noticed any pixelation or sharpness issues when working on this monitor. I usually sit 60 to 70 cm away from it, and the display is sharp, with crisp and clear text. The monitor comes with a basic stand that has limited adjustments. I used the included stand for about a month before buying a VESA mount arm, which allows me to easily adjust the height and orientation of the monitor. However, for basic needs, the included stand works fine.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s a 10/10 for me!

Great monitor for the price.
When I first built my PC around 9 years ago, I had an HP 1080p monitor. Over those 9 years I’ve upgraded my PC a couple of times and can easily play games at 1440p (Have no interest in playing at 4K)So naturally I wanted to upgrade to a 1440p monitor and decided on this one. It was a great price (got it on offer) and the specs are great for said price. It’s well built, looks awesome, easy to put together, has plenty of connections. The brightness is pretty decent too.Overall it’s pretty great for gaming and have no problems with any game I’ve played on so far at 1440p.The only thing I would say it’s lacking is sound quality, which is why I’ve only given this 4 stars. The built in speakers lack power and I would recommend using external speakers or a soundbar or something. I mean for the price I paid for it, I’m not going to complain. Still a great monitor for the price.

Good monitor for the price
I bought this for a small home office set up.The picture is very good and although the speakers are not loud they do work for general use and save the bother and desk space of having to add separate speakers. It connected with no issues and the text is crisp enough for work and the picture plays videos very well. I don't really use it for gaming or photo editing but as a general purpose monitor I am very pleased with it.Good value at what I paid and quick delivery.

Superb value for money
My Dell 2405FPW finally died after 18 years and I was looking for a replacement but didn't want to spend a lot of money, as I don't care for 8K gaming, curved screens or any other gimmicks. This popped up so I searched around various sites for reviews which were surprisingly positive, the only negatives being a general lack of features, fair build quality and 6-bit + FRC as opposed to true 8-bit colour. As my desktop use is primarily browsing/reading and watching videos I decided to give it a go.Ordered Friday, delivered Monday (included in the £69 total) I opened the box, slid out the polystyrene inserts and set it up. This is very simple and requires no tools: plug the stand into the base, press into the back of the screen, clip in the cable tidy, plug in the separate power brick, insert either an HDMI or DisplayPort cable, press the rear power button and you're all set.The screen tilts but doesn't adjust for height (didn't bother me) and all display controls are situated on the right at the rear, including the power light. I only accessed these once when setting it up so can't complain about the location, plus it gives a minimalist & tidy appearance. It also lacks the USB ports and card reader of my Dell, but I found a USB hub & card reader in my spares bin, so problem solved. There is a slot at the front of the stand which is ideal for standing your phone in (sideways) which is a nice touch. No speakers, but they would no doubt be puny if included and I always use external speakers so this isn't an issue.I always turn the brightness, contrast and colour settings down to give a more natural appearance to images and was pleased to see it was capable of a 100Hz refresh rate (tested successfully), compared with the 75Hz of my old Dell.Subjectively, text appears slightly sharper than the Dell, blacks are black rather than dark grey (a strength of VA LCD panels), and video playback is smooth without tearing or artefacts. I occasionally play old DOS games and had no complaints with fast movement or response times. Before using it I ran a dead-pixel checker which displays/cycles primary colours to help locate any dead or stuck pixels, an unfortunate drawback of LCD technology. Manufacturers generally state that a couple of these outside of the main viewing area are deemed acceptable and not considered a fault. My Dell had one stuck (blue) pixel at the very top of the screen which was not an issue during use but slightly irritating all the same, so I was pleasantly surprised at the complete absence of any faulty pixels on the MSI.Time will tell with regards longevity but so far so good. I will update this review in a few months.12/06/2024 - updateNothing untoward to report, still working fine.
