My friend lent me this set of books, and when I finished Fortune Cookie, I was hooked! I just HAD to get them!!!NOTE- Fortune Cookie DOES NOT come in this parcel, but you can buy it for £3.85 on amazon to complete the set.Cherry Crush is amazing, because it sets the scene of Tanglewood,and how Cherry feels like an outsider compared to the Tanberrys, with their 'tawny blonde hair and easy confidence'. The ending of this story just makes you want to read Marshmallow Skye, the 2nd chocolate box girl book because it is a strange ending for a book, and it would not make sense and it'd seem like a bad ending to a book if you read it and thought it was a book on its own.Marshmallow Skye is probably my favourite book in this set. This is because lots of spooky things happen, it actually sent shivers down my spine! It is not that scary though, just exciting! You never know what'll happen in Skye's vintage-crazy world!!Summer's Dream is brilliant! It felt like if I looked up from my book, I'd see Summer, dancing the En Pointe Firebird dance for all she was worth. Lots of twists and turns occur in this book, and it had an unexpected ending. That is what makes you want the book to become longer. Luckily, there is Coco Caramel.Coco Caramel is fantastic! It it an insight into Coco's crazy save-the-world-by-selling-cupcakes-to-raise-money-for-endangered-species attitude life. Coco and her peer, Lawrie, do something dangerous, which leads to lots of bizarre consequences! I love how Coco is determined to do anything she wants, even though it could lead to DANGER DANGER! Or Will It???Sweet Honey is fabilicious!!! When Honey moves to Australia to live with her Dad, she is desperate to make the right impression and to wipe out her past, or at the very least try and forget it. But then, something happens, something that threatens to undo all her hard work of being the 'good girl'....I have done a review of Fortune Cookie on the Fortune Cookie page.To sum up, the chocolate box girls set of books are absolutely GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! READ THEM ITS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They are all written in first person ( like in cherry crush, cherry tells the story etc) so you can truly understand what they are thinking and stuff, instead of ' Honey did this and Honey did that' while you are screaming inside your head, 'WHY??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 'Also you can find out why they did what they did in previous books, except in Cherry Crush, because that it the first one.The book titles sound sweet (marshmallow skye etc) because Cherry's dad (Paddy Costello) or Skye, Summer, Coco, Honey and Jake's (sort of) stepdad makes chocolates, and they all have one chocolate namedafter them. For Example,Marshmallow Skye. The books are named after the chocolate that is named after the chocolate box girl/boy.Jake does not enter the stories until the very end of Sweet Honey and the whole of Fortune Cookie.They are called Chocolate box Girls/Boy because Paddy and Charlotte's chocolate company is called the Chocolate Box, and after they feature in a local magazine then a national newspaper with a picture of the 5 girls dressed ad Chocolate Fairies, with the caption ' Chocolate Box Girls', the name stuck.I hope my review persuaded you to buy these books or at least borrow them from a library!!T3M x

These were a gift for my granddaughter she absolutely loves them she is eleven, she now wants more of the series.
