Yummers! I recently tried this during the Covid-19 shutdown and will continue to buy. A new favorite of mine. I like Rise because it’s organic, smooth, low acid (no tummy ache) and has a complex full flavor. My dog and I enjoy the nitro woosh sound when opening and the foam on top. I also do not get jittery or get headaches from this coffee (I tend to when I home cold brew.) How I like it: Mel’s Dirty Red Eye Chai on ice = 1/4 Rise Black Nitro, 1/4 Decaf espresso shot, 1/4 Masala chai concentrate shot, 1/4 Oat Milk. Add ice. Enjoy. With the left over nitro brew I place in a sealed mini jar for later in the day or for the following morning. Cost: My other nitro brew in glass jars was not organic. If I have something on the daily, I try to go non gmo and don’t mind paying a little extra for it. I also don’t mind paying extra for nitro infused vs a basic iced coffee. My tastebuds thank me every morning. My favorite local coffee shops (non chain store) charge $4-7 a glass for nitro cold brew on tap. The chain store coffee shops like Pete’s Coffee Bean and Starbucks charge around $4.95 for a nitro. Therefor, due to the organic certification, nitro infusion, price/oz and home convenience I think it’s a great buy. Taste: If you are unfamiliar with nitro brew taste vs regular cold brew... think Corona Lite vs a Sierra Nevada hefeweizen or a table red wine vs a cabernet. In my opinion nitro brew is more full bodied, darker in color, more flavorful, stays on your tastebuds longer and smells stronger. (Sorry, if the above comparisons seem like I’m reaching. I think it may help some unfamiliar people determine if Rise will suit them. Some of the people in the comment section seemed confused as to what nitro cold brew is and how it differs from a basic cold coffee.) Final thoughts: Good coffee = good mornings! The above comments are my own, not sponsored and not paid for. I also wrote my opinions after finishing the full case.

I love this coffee. I ordered my first pack of it after my supermarket stopped stocking my favorite: Stumptown nitro cans (which I can't find on Amazon). RISE has a stronger flavor than Stumptown (a little tangy taste and a slightly nutty aroma) and that batch had some black flakes in it. I contacted RISE to complain since I wondered if something was wrong with the batch. They replied immediately saying the flakes were expected and harmless and that they were trying to modify their process because the flakes are freaking people out. They also offered me a refund. I declined since it sounded like nothing was really wrong. Then I tried starbucks nitro cans. The head on those is really weak and small! Very little creamy mouthfeel. The taste is simpler and seemed bland to me. Bought another pack of RISE and so glad to be back to the big head and nutty taste which I'm now used to. I still don't like it quite as much as Stumptown, but it's great coffee.

You can always tell when a company cares deeply about the quality of their products, and RISE is one of those companies. The Delivery -- First off, these cans arrived in *flawless* condition after being shipped all the way across the country. RISE definitely took the time to package them properly. The Pour -- When you pop the top these bad boys literally GROWL at you, which I've since learned is an indication of a proper nitrogen-infused beverage (not to mention being just plain cool). I poured mine over ice and watched as a beautiful froth formed on top (the "cascade" as they call it). It's delightful. The Taste -- Sooo smooth...not that acidy bitter taste of regular coffee. It's definitely strong, but approachable. I like my coffee black to begin with, but I could see some folks wanting to add a little sweetness or cream if they are used to that. The nitrogen truly does add a bit of creamy mouthfeel already though, which is really nice. Definitely my new go-to after lunch pick-me-up!

RISE Original Black Nitro Cold Brew Coffee (12 7 fl. oz. Cans): I love coffee and I am particular about it. Not quite a snob, but I know what I like and I don't mess with the brown water most restaurants and chains serve. I've also been a Guinness Pub Draught enthusiast for many years so know just what nitrogen can do. So I was excited when I found this offering. Small company. Black coffee! Infused with Nitrogen! Good reviews aplenty. I took a chance and bought some. I can say that RISE Brewing Company Original Black Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is smooth to taste with a creamy mouthfeel and that hint of bitter you should expect from real black coffee on the back of the tongue. The nitrogen charge at the bottom of the can works well and consistently which by infusing the brew, creates a beautiful cascade in the glass and massages the already smooth flavor created by cold brewing. In the interest of fairness and transparency, this is the third edit since the first review of the first shipment of brew. The first shipment and first taste was bitter to the point that it put a face on my face but the response from the company was unbelievable. When I posted that in a review on Amazon, I was contacted within 2 hours of posting it and within 2.5 hours of that, was issued a full refund with apologies and the invitation to use that money to please try again. So I did. The newest brew was supposed to be in cans featuring the USDA logo, but they did not. Presumably that was because the Amazon warehouse didn't yet stock the new cans or maybe wanted to use up what they already had - I don't know. When the folks at RISE heard this, they immediately FedEx-ed a new case to me directly. Honestly, I haven't seen this kind of response from a company since the early days of Apple Computer! I cannot say enough about the responsiveness of this company and their desire to make a great brew for happy customers. So, with all of this praise for this brew and this company, you have got to be wondering by now why only four stars. It is simply because they are still having a problem with sediment. They are working very hard to solve this problem and they assure me that this is nothing harmful, but acknowledge that it is not so good looking at the bottom of the glass. I will continue to drink their brew though maybe not "to the last drop". :-) RISE and Shine!! Keep up the good work!
