I have mine about 8 feet up and it works just fine.

How do I reset the Wifi (lost connection after some weeks). The instructions say to power on and off for 6 times (?) but there is no power switch.

You reset by turning off the power. Your installation should have a switch, does not need to be on the lamp. However, this flood light does not feature Wi-Fi.
