Updated review…worth the money
Let me start with I sent this particular toaster back. There was nothing wrong with it but I realized I didn’t order the one with the toastie press. Upon research, it was more economical to return the one I purchased and get the one with the press. Toastie press separately is $80. Only $30 more getting it with upgrade through Amazon. I did plug it in to see how it looked. Very easy to connect to WiFi. Had many levels for bread toasting. I did not want to try it since I knew I was sending it back. Return was extremely easy and Amazon was quick with refund. I have ordered the new one and will post my review once I receive itUpdated review:Got the new toaster in today. First off, even though the $399 toaster says it allows pictures to be uploaded, it doesn’t. This smart toaster is worth the extra $30.! Not only can you add your favorite photos as a screen saver, you get the toastie press ($80 separate) and the warming rack ($30 separate). You also get a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer. You don’t have to connect to WiFi but the benefits are really nice…weather for your area, updates, personal screen saver. I love all the different options for toasting different breads, pastries etc. It lowers your bread, lets you choose the darkness, shows you how long is left and once done, lets you know. This toaster Is amazing and definitely worth the money!

Totally Amazing Appliance!
At first glance, I thought, "you've GOT to be kidding me!!" when looking at the price of this toaster. But, after having it for a week, I can say that it’s very much a quality appliance.Calling it a toaster is a bit of a misnomer, as it does way more than just make some toast. This appliance will indeed make fabulous toast, and it will toast it to perfection, just the level of toastiness that you desire. It also handles heating virtually all bread type items with a pre-determined formula for arriving at the right level of hot and toasted exterior, which means no burned bagels and no toaster strudels with semi-frozen interiors (unless that is the way you want it!) You can toss on the warmer rack to warm up rolls, buns, croissants, muffins, cinnamon rolls, etc. to be irresistibly warm and soft. And then the Toastie Press, what a treat! My wife has been cooking up paninis, quesadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches made to perfection, and has started experimenting with making breakfast pockets to eat on the go, the uses are endless!Lest I forget to mention, the appliance also works as a calendar, clock, and weather device. You’d think we have enough of these sorts of items around the house that these features would not be all that helpful, but oddly enough, I find myself easily glancing at the “toaster” when strolling through the kitchen and getting a mental update on time/temp, which I never would have bothered to check before, or realized how nice that tidbit of information becomes. Then comes my favorite additional feature – the custom photo backgrounds! Now I can “have breakfast with my children” every morning, even though they’ve all grown up and moved away from home. The only things I wish it would have are: 1) More local areas for weather (I had to pick a town 25 miles away). And 2) I wish it was Alexa enabled so that I could just tell it what I want it to do instead of pressing my selections (my Alexa microwave has me spoiled)

Amazing digital picture frame… I mean toaster!
This is an outstanding digital picture frame…. I mean toaster. Having an appliance on the counter that shows your pictures off is amazing. Not one person that has seen this toaster has not made a positive comment how great it is. The toaster feels state of the art and makes / toasts all kinds of great food. Nice job!

Best of the Best!
$429 for a toaster? Wow! But after reviewing the product marketing information I thought I would give it a try. This toaster is the best I have ever had and meets every expectation you could have. In fact, it is better than many resturants that toast their product. The on screen prompts guides you easily throught the selection based on what you are going to toast following the Apple philosophy of making it simple. Many hardware manufactures generally fail on the software side but not this company. Buy it, if you can afford it, and you should have no regrets. Happy toasting.

It's SO CLOSE to perfect, but it missed the mark.
Does toast wonderfully. Simple stupid to work. Select the type of bread, select from the screen the color you want it to come out, press the button, it takes the bread down, toasts it perfectly, and sends it back up. There are two things that are sadly missing. 1st, it does NOT fit anything larger than standard bread loaves. If you buy artisan breads that are longer or wider than the slot provided, you end up having to pick a much lighter setting then flipping it over and dealing with the middle being too toasted and the ends being just right, or cutting your bread in half then putting it in. Really should have a larger slice capability. AND there are a number of breads that it doesn't have. Rye, pumpernickel, etc. Multigrain kind of works for that, but for the price I expected more or better. Not to say it's not awesome, but it's far from perfect.
