Replacement for Apple-TV-Remote, Remote for Apple TV 4K/HD (NOT Siri & Voice)

Worked well but the slimeline shape makes it difficult to know which is the pointing end. Its sleek design also lends itself to constant fumbling and dropping, which means that the great battery hunt is on! I gave stars for it being 2 pack and both work. It is good to know that when one breaks, I always have a backup. Good quality considering I have dropped, tossed and thrown the remote more times than I could possibly count. They take a likin' and keep on clickin'. I would recomend these remotes to family and friends.

If I could give it a zero star, I would very bad quality from the plastic and buttons From the two I received I am left with One and half of the buttons are working, and if you want to have a scared of your life, leave it out pointing straight to the TV. It will send commands to the TV without you even pressing bottons. Woke me up one night. Because it turned the TV on now. I keep it in the drawer and just use it when I need it

The remote works with my Philips Smart TV and was easy to set up. The buttons feel a bit cheap and not as responsive as the original, but it does the job for basic use. Overall it’s okay as a backup, just don’t expect original quality.

I got the replacement Chromecast remote. When it works, it works well. However, the remote has issues where sometimes button presses don't do anything. Sometimes, it will repeat the prior button press multiple times in a row, causing you to scroll way off the screen (after pressing the button only once). I got a replacement through Amazon, and it has the same issue.

Would be 5 starts if I didn’t have to almost directly aim it at my Apple TV. Paired perfectly with my Apple TV 4K and powers on my Samsung tv without any issues. Also controls my Samsung sound bar without issues. Connectivity was seamless and button response seems fine. Will replace with the same remote when kids lose this one…

Some of the buttons do not function the same way as the original Apple remote does. In some cases the button does what it’s supposed to do, however, depending on what app you are working with the button doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. At first, I thought it was my fault, but it turns out that every button on the remote does not work the same as the Apple remotes buttons. The instructions have no indication of which button would substitute. I do understand that this remote does not offer some of the advanced features like talk to text, however, that function was not important to me. I just wanted a remote that replaced the thumb pad with an easier to use selection button and had the same physical button as my Apple remote. So this remote ends up being worthless to me because I need to keep my original Apple remote to use when the button on this remote doesn’t work properly. I mostly wanted this because the thumb pad on my older Apple Remote is difficult to use when selecting items. This remotes selection add would sell for this problem, except that the enter button doesn’t always trigger what you selected. It’s past my return window so these will go in the trash and I’ll try another product.

While it is a good replacement for your lost or broken Apple-TV remote control, it is by no means perfect. The GOOD: works out of the box, only needs two AAA batteries, no programing whatsoever, all the remote-control buttons work as expected. The BAD: No tracking, you have to keep pressing the wheel button to change channels. I don't have any idea as to longevity but I'm sure the remote control will wear out due to constant pressing the center wheel button. Channel checking and selection is a chore in itself. As for the voice feature, not needed so I've never used it. This Apple-TV remote is cheap enough to buy more if needed unless you want the genuine remote which sells for about $60 which has the smooth tracking, but you have to charge & program it into your Apple-TV box before you can use it. It works for turning channels but that is it. There is NO on/off button & no volume control button. Don't waste your money if you need those features. Plus you will need to buy AAA batteries for the control to work. I am using the remote that came with the tv for missing features, but that remote is not compatible with the roku.

Connects and works like normal.

Look it isn't the same as the original Google one, but when that goes through the wash, what can you do! We ended up with 2 as 2 remotes for different tvs broke at the same time. Still working years later!
