AMAZING!
Gee dang-it I should have bought this years ago. It is sooooo worth the money! Battery lasts a very long time. The menus are pretty easy to find your way through, especially after a little time using it. The description on the add seemed a little confusing but it works on all of my vehicles just fine ranging from a 2010 ford to a 2023 Benz and many in between.

Wireless, Bi-Directional, Substantial Build Quality
The item is packaged in a nice outer case with an even more impressive inner case. This case divides into two where you have your interface and global usb-c charger, and on the other side the tablet. The tablet runs a modified version of android and while I don't intend to run other programs on it I've heard it is possible. The tablet connects to the car with a wireless interface to OBD. This allows for reading off of trans temperature while under the car an easy task to complete. While I was given this unit I did know the price and it seems like an excellent value. I would even agree if some of the advanced writing cost a few dollars which I was suspecting but I have not seen at all. The scanner quality itself seems to be better than anticipated at the price point and out classes other tools owned which cost more money.I recently used this to diagnose a bad coil. A lower tier autel just had a generic code about the coil, whereas this provided the exact coil that was bad and the explanation that it was a coil.

Great scanner even for Automotive Technician!
Let me start by saying I have been an Auto Tech for past 15 years and have a lot of experience with scan tools of all brands. I wanted a descent scanner for home so I can repair and diagnose my vehicles along with family and friends. This scanner is way better than I thought! First, it's pretty fast and has very little lag if any which surprised me! has tons of features. It scans every module of your vehicle, has nice live data and bi- directional control to activate components for easier diagnosis. This also has 2 years free updates which is awesome. No scanner does everything, but this one will do most of what you need for the money. I recommend this 100%.

Adequate Product. Needs more Quality Assurance / Engineering thoughtfulness..
It's an Android tablet in a stout case running Launch software. It does not have any sort of kickstand though it's quite thick and can be stood on end without too much problem (hanging it on a steering wheel is not an option). The QuickStart manual is just flat out wrong. Wrong enough that I had to dig fairly deep into the full manual where I found even that was also wrong.1) Charge it (the connection is under the inner I/O cover);2) Hold the Power button down for a few seconds to turn it on;3) From Home, go to Other Modules, Tablet Settings. Use the Android Network & internet UI to connect to a WiFi network. I recommend that that WiFi network be a HotSpot on a cell phone. If you don't have a viable WiFi network return the scanner as it will be useless (while not technically a requirement it's really a requirement);4A) GO TO YOUR CAR AND PLUG THE VCI INTO THE ODB2 PORT IN YOUR CAR; <-- this will prove to be an important step4B) MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE LICENSE TEAR SHEET WITH YOU5) Make an account with the Launch company by bringing up the Login prompt and clicking on the New Registration link (bottom right of pop-up);IMPORTANT: This is probably an Android thing but the "Back" button (right end of the dock / icon bar) will change to a "Down Turned Back" icon. This icon means "hide the frigg'n keyboard". You need to use it during data entry or the keyboard will get in the way and you'll never be able to complete most data entry screens (i.e., Submit button will be hidden, etc.).6) AFTER you have a network connection and an account (which REQUIRES that the VCI be alive ... you CANNOT do this on your sofa ... you MUST be in a car, any ODB2 capable car will do) and you filled in the Serial Number and Code from the tear sheet THEN AND ONLY THEN can you pull car data and update things;7) You can use the Software Update UI to pull car data and update the Launch software on the tablet itself;8) Android needs to be updated using Android UI (it's not too hard to find);9) The VCI will update its firmware the first time you try to use the scanner for real work.STEP 7 TAKES A LOOOOOOOOOOONG time (20 minutes?). Be prepared to wait in the car while it retrieves gobs of data (technically you can pause downloads for cars you don't care about and finish this part faster).Once it's all up to date I found it to work fairly well. The only other annoyance (and it's a doozy) is that the scanner comes with a nice, abs plastic case. BUT THE CHARGING ADAPTER / POWER PLUG DOESN'T FIT IN THE FRIGG'N CASE! SAY WHAT?!?! The entire tablet has been a "useful" but pointlessly buggy experience. The bugs don't keep it from working. They just make the experience annoying.

Decent, but could use a little input from people who use it
It took me a while to find options like readiness for emissions. I wish it was on front page. You have to go into engine diagnostics to get to it. Also finding misfires, took a while to find. Everything works well, just some stuff is buried too much. Was able to change VIN on ecu and setup the used ecu on a 23 civic.

Monthly charge for each car I work on?
After registering this is found out i had to pay $5.95 a month for each car I wanted to work on. WTF. I don't think so. Returned it and bought XTools D7W. Works fine
