Orca 4KUHD aka Orca: The Killer Whale 4K UHD

I watched ORCA 4K UHD. It goes without saying that the resolution of the video is much better than the previously released Blu-ray version, but the tones in the dark areas, the smooth gradation from dark areas to highlights, the highlights with Dolby Vision, and the beauty of the sunset and morning sea scenes are wonderful even as a nature documentary. The scene of a group of ORCA swimming together, combined with Ennio Morricone's unique soundtrack, gives the viewer a solemn and mysterious impression.The story is a straightforward depiction of ORCA (The Killer Whale), a father whose wife and child were killed by Captain Nolan (Richard Harris), a fisherman looking for a bounty, and how he takes revenge. It is like a fable about a foolish man who challenges Mother Nature and finally realizes his own folly.

Kino Lorber Studio Classics releases on both 4K UHD and Blu-ray this nature-themed revenge thriller from 1977 directed by Michael Anderson and starring Richard Harris as a sea hunter and fisherman who targets a pod of Orcas for capture and sale but instead quite disastrously and tragically kills the female and unborn child calf in the process, causing the surviving male to go berserk, targeting both him and his whole crew for death as it begins a systematic campaign of pursuit and vengeance that becomes the stuff of local legend.Looking beautiful in a new 4K remaster, an upgrade from both the Paramount Studios DVD and Shout Factory Blu-ray, porting over those extras and now including a new audio commentary with Howard S, Berger, Steve Mitchell, and Nathanial Thompson. I am presently unable to view the UHD disc but will update if that changes. Comes with a slipcover.Highly underrated and unjustly dismissed thriller is far more than just a "Jaws" clone, but instead tells a mesmerizing and tragic story of loss and regret, rage and vengeance, as viewer will firmly be on the side of Orca, whose mission will seem more inspired by 'Death Wish" crossed with "Moby Dick" Spellbinding climax and haunting end song overcome minor flaws to make this a cult classic that animal lovers/activists in particular will appreciate, even though the tone is quite sad and melancholy.

The older movie I didn’t like but picture good

I was hoping for better, but as these Jaws knock-offs go, it's ok. The story drags a little from time to time, but overall, I found it quite watchable.
