4-Player Wooden Shut The Box, Classic Travel Board Game, Math Pub Dice Game - Traditional Family Fun

A brilliantly simple game that has both entertained and stimulated our 6 year old grandson. Great for mental maths and number bonds.Also, for the price, really well made.

Good little game this and helps kids (and me) learn to add up quickly.

It’s a good game, and it looks very attractive. However, the hinging pieces are far too loose on their supports, and are far too easily knocked over in play. That’s especially if you use the green baize square in the centre for rolling the dice - which I’m sure is the intent. It’s a shame, as otherwise it would earn an easy five stars.

Nice good quality wooden old fashioned game. Makes a change from some of the stuff around. My computer addicted son loved it. He has special needs and was good for his number skills.

If you are ever bored and just want some sort of quick board game, or just something to keep your hands busy whilst chatting or at the pub, the shut the box game could be appealing.At the time of writing this game is £10 which given how nicely built the game is, is a very appealing price.The board game comes in a square format where you can have upwards of 4 people playing simultaneously (as opposed to the more frequently seen 1-2 player sets).The game also comes with 4 pairs of dice, coloured to help differentiate (though arguably uneccesary as usually only one person throws the dice at a time).My only minor complaint is that the game is not compact and takes up quite a lot of space.There is no way to fold it up and the dice also do not have a "space" on the board (meaning you must have these separately otherwise you risk losing them if you just leave them inside the game).Overall though, fun and simple game, cheap, and decently well built. I think this is a decent buy, especially if you plan on having this at one set location all the time.
