For 1080P, it probably needs to be a USB-3.0 connection instead of 2.0. The device is fine. It does what it says allowing you to take a 1080P feed and capture it with your computer. If they updated to a usb3.0 interface, it would be way better.

I'm using this to turn a Rpi into a remote KVM which is working fine. Support in linux is pretty easy to use.

Picked this up to use at my church for streaming an outdoor service. For indoor service our usual setup has three cameras and a switcher, but to go outdoors, I needed a way to convert the 1080p HDMI signal from our camcorder to appear as a USB camera for our Zoom and Facebook livestream.This worked flawlessly and was plug and play easy. Picture quality was indistinguishable from our normal output.Product was packed with minimal setup instructions and that was all that was needed. Build quality was better than expected and the low price point with nicely finished metal construction.

Despite all my efforts, I am unable to make a recording with acceptable video/audio qualiity. I am giving up. My time is far more valuable than debugging some company's products.
