It's a beast!!
I took my time doing research and spent about 2 months before purchasing. Its an expensive machine but if you know what you want and this is it, get it and puchase the case too!! It is smaller in person then you might expect, for me that was a plus. I like the portability and power it has. I went with the 64gb model and its been able to do everything Ive thrown at it. Have communicated with the seller a few times before and after purchase. They've been quick to reply and so far had great customer service. This device comes set at 28w and the fan runs fast from the factory. 1st thing you should do upon receiving it is open Motion Assist and set the tdp lower and turn on fan curve 1. I generally run it at 10w and the fan curve reduces fan speed drastically. Alot of youtube reviews say it runs hot, if you run it at 28-35tpd it will get hot but I dont find it to be uncomfortable. Its the length of my phone, 1.3x the width and 2x the height, basically its a bit bigger then a 3ds xl with the capability of running any game Ive tested at low to medium settings. If youre thinking about it, want a great clamshell handheld pc and have the funds you won't be disappointed. Buttons and triggers feel quality. Screen is sharp and vivid. Battery is a bit small but get a 100w+ power bank. I almost waited for the gpd win 5 with a better cpu and higher price but the ergonomics of a clamshell are unbeatable for my use. The ai 9 hx 370 is still a great contender and more powerful then the z2 extreme chip in the latest rog ally x. One of the things I reached out to the seller about was the ssd being upgradable. There is one ssd slot and it is upgradable. Plan to put an 8tb in soon. I decided to go with this seller for the quick replys and fast shipping. With tariff uncertainty and ordering from the manufacturer its a gamble on how much the final cost would be upon receiving it and would of been weeks or month/s to receive it. I reached out to dxglobal recently and asked about the ayn thor. Hopefully they get that in stock soon at a reasonable price. To wrap it up, so far Ive been very happy with my purchase and its became my most used device besides the phone. If your looking for an insanely capable clamshell handheld this is it. No occulink but has thunderbolt 4. Can run an epgu but so far I havent needed too. Don't be one of those guys that buys it and returns it without any issues. Nice things cost money and being a good consumer is just as important as being a good seller. Do your research before you buy and make sure its what you're looking for.

Hardware is great, but blame Microsoft for Windows Modern Standby
* New BIOS and EC/SuperIO update has configurable charge limit that works reliably * S3 suspend and resume works perfectly on Linux * Windows 11 S0 low-power idle does not work reliably. Hibernate is acceptable, but with 32/64GB RAM, that’s a lot of uneeded writes. Disabling modern standby does not re-enable S3 as I hoped. This is a Microsoft policy. * There’s a cable for the fan and speakers connecting the backplate to the mainboard when you open it up. I am thankful it is quite tough, because I accidentally tugged on it opening it up * There’s some thermal tape or something covering the SSD, so I ended up not swapping it out just yet. There’s a WD SN740 in mine. * Bazzite works well. The speakers sound better on Windows with the DTS drivers * The buttons and keyboard all feel very nice to use * Screen is very nice, though 120Hz is overkill for a handheld now that I have been using it * It fits in my pockets, but is a tight fit I wouldn’t recommend this device to everybody. I’ve always wanted something like this since I was a kid. My current lifestyle, I don’t have that much time for sitting at my desktop to play games and I’m always up and about during the day. This is perfect for me to finally play some of the games on my Steam backlog that I otherwise never seem to have time for.

Amazing device for portable computing and gaming
Fantastic device. I watched probably every YouTube video and after a year I went for it. Plays all of my steam games at 60+fps at 720p and some at 1080p. Emulators work well too and I can play PS2 games at 4 watts. Battery lasts quite a while if you pay attention and adjust as needed. I have gotten used to Motion Controls boring UI and it mostly works well. Occasional glitches but very useful. It will get warm at 20 watts but I’ve found most game play great at around 12 watts. At that power it gets warm but it’s nothing unexpected. Overall really pleased and I’d recommend them to anyone. I may even get a Win Max 2 when the 2025 370 is on Amazon.

Ohhhhh yeah, It's sweet!
Title sums it up, I use it both for gaming and work. Pair this with the viture smart glasses and you have the ultimate portable setup. No complaints about the speed, graphics, and power. Only thing I wish was better is the motion assistant software to adjust the tdp but there are other options out there. If you like cool small tech you will not be disappointed!

Incompatible w/ 2025 Model
Doesn't work with Win Mini 2025 version. The 2025 is slightly larger, so this doesn't fit.

Mini pc that works
It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I don't like windows 11, but the fact that it runs it goes to say how power full it is. The keyboard is kinda small, as in I can't use it as well as my pc keyboard which sucks. Especially if you wanna try a code with it which is low-key one of the reasons I got it. The best way I can describe it is by saying it's a mini pc which you can carry around. So yeah I've always dreamed if having something like this as a kid. I did have a problem with it not wanting to charge just now so that had me worried, but it's charging now so I think it's good 😅

Compact PC Handheld Done Right
I have used three GPD products in the past and IMO none of them have been as complete as this Win Mini 2025 edition. Pros: The HX 370 may not improve the framerate too much over the previous-gen 7840U, but it can definitely reach the framerate that the past gen would require 25–30W to produce with just 15–18W. This is especially helpful for small form factor devices like the Win Mini, as it only comes with a 44Wh battery. Upgrading the Win Mini to a 120Hz VRR screen was also a good move. The screen on the Win 4 and Win Max 2, on the other hand, really bites when it comes to low-frame gaming. The sound quality on the 2025 Win Mini also really shines. The speakers sound extremely good even without a DTX setup. Comparing them to the ones on the ROG Ally side by side, I couldn't really tell who the winner was. It may not be pocketable, but it's truly compact. At only 570g (550g on paper), the 2025 Win Mini surely wins the most powerful compact handheld award. The reworked cooling solution paid off very well, and I think it's fair to crown the 2025 Win Mini the coolest compact handheld available. Cons: Noise: The default fan speed is too aggressive and completely ruins the sound quality. The exhaust produces a somewhat high-pitched noise, and enabling the custom fan curve helps to some extent but still can't get rid of it completely. Sleep functionality is (still) broken. This is a known issue with almost all GPD devices. The only option is to hibernate (or suspend in Linux). Poor security features: GPD doesn't fully comply with the Windows Secure Computing standard and has left some crucial security features unimplemented in the BIOS. This not only compromises privacy but can also cause weird Windows issues to come up.

Love it!!
Software engineer who travels a lot. Have been thinking about getting something like this for a while and finally I am very happy that I made the decision. Hardware comes with high quality. VSCode and developing web services worked fast & seamlessly. So easy to put in my backpack without worrying about space. I don't really play games but I am okay with the game controllers since they can act as an additional mouse. The only thing for me is I hope it has more USB-C ports.
