CAP Barbell Olympic Triceps Bar

Extremely sturdy and fees great on my joints! I have had numerous elbow injuries from high school wrestling and torn my bicep more than once, many different bars or exercises flare up my joint pain but this bar feels great! I’ve been using this bar for OH tricep extensions for about two months and i have almost nothing negative to say. The only negative thing I will say is that the knurling is very very rough and has left marks on my hands every time I have used it without gloves but I put tape over the handles and now it is fine. I use this and the cap EZ bar for skull crushers which is also a very sturdy product! Both products have done nothing but good for my tricep development! Absolutely recommend! I also live outside in Florida where humidity is very high and even after a few months the bar still has not deteriorated at all!

The package arrived on time. One of the bolts for the collar that holds the weights on the bar is missing. I contacted customer service via the internet. Remains to be seen if I will get a satisfactory response, and a replacement part promptly. Otherwise, the barbell is well made and sturdy. I think it is a good barbell for a good price. 2nd Review: Outstanding Customer Service! I emailed the company about the above-mentioned missing part, Four days later "Boom", a replacement part was in my hand! After using this barbell, it is a quality barbell, and the rubber handles are much more comfortable than a conventional handle.

The bar itself is fine. Sturdy enough and does the job. The collars on the other hand are worthless. One of them split the first time I tightened it and the other one stripped the threads. They should either sell this with no collars or just include some spring collars. If you are buying it for the bar it is still a good deal.

This thing is heavy duty! Great quality and just the right dimensions. Visually pleasing to the eye and does the job right. I highly recommend this to everyone who works out!

I'm new to this type of bar (always used ropes till now) so can't say much about its effectiveness other than that I feel my triceps, which is a good thing. :-) The bar is sturdy, solid, and a great value. It comes with screw-down collars, I would recommend getting some snap collars instead ("barbell clamps") which are about ten bucks on Amazon, if you plan to change the weights with any regularity. I've bought a number of Cap products so far, and my overall impression is the bars are great, the weights less great but cheap. This bar counts as great IMO.

The bar is sturdy and heavier than the picture leads on. The collars/screws it came with are old school-ish and I am just gonna use my plastic lock collars or spring collars instead. It's chrome, so there are a LOT of uneven qualities to the finish, to which I forgive due to the solid feel of the bar. The knurling is AGGRESSIVE. Expect to build up some nice calluses with the abrasive handles. This SHOULD be a $40 or less bar, but at the way things are being priced out right now due to the pandemic, the $60 I paid will help me forget that the gyms are closed (luckily I have some olympic weights from many previous pandemic panic purchases).

This is a great triceps bar. Very sturdy & great value for the money. Only issue was that the fastener for one of the collars was missing. Have plenty of my own collars so it wasn't a setback but check for all the parts.
