Punches above its weight
I have a $250 brand name pedal and this unit:1. is better built (all metal, decisive button clicks)2. has more intuitive interface3. is about the same or slightly worse in sound qualityDon't expect a miracle, but the unit is good and very good for the money. It also has a built-in battery, which I am guessing makes it suitable to connect to a battery powered speaker.

It's really good overall, but with a big curve
The M-VAVE ANN Black Pedal Box is a surprisingly versatile and compact multi-effects unit that delivers impressive tones right out of the box. For most guitar styles—rock, blues, jazz, and even ambient effects—it offers rich, dynamic sounds that are ready to go without much tweaking. The onboard effects are solid, making it a great choice for players looking for an all-in-one solution without sacrificing quality. However, if you're aiming for heavy metal tones, it falls a bit short. Even with additional IRs, dialing in the aggressive, high-gain sound needed for true metal can be a challenge. While the unit is highly customizable, getting the IRs set up properly can be a little confusing at first, requiring extra effort to optimize the tone. That said, the versatility of the ANN Black Pedal Box makes it an excellent tool for most styles. If you’re willing to take the time to fine-tune your settings (huge curve here), it’s a great option for guitarists who want a compact, powerful effects processor with quality sounds and flexible functionality!

Its ok
It seems like the perfect lunchtime jam pedal. I sit in my truck and rock out during my lunch hour. Works really well for that. I have the old one I've been using for a couple years now. Its really easy to use if you are used to modern menu based gear. If you are just wanting knob twisting it might take you a minute or two to figure it out. My issue with this device is, out of the box, just doesn't sound very good. The higher gain stuff sounds like a wah pedal with the pedal pushed all the way forward. Really weird frequency response. The great thing is the profiles can be swapped out. I just havent found any good ones yet. If anyone can recommend some decent profiles that would be awesome.

Finally....a decent sounding digital box that is affordable.
I am VERY pleased with the sounds in this box. Sure, most of the distortion/overdrive presets are totally unusable without some fussing with, but the sound and feel of the clean tones are really pleasing and the FEEL is there. So don't take my word for it...check it out yourself. You could do worse than to try out a really well made, very decent sounding box that looks like something the Air Force has in one of their missile silos. Even the Bluetooth connected easily and the firmware upgrade was a piece of cake. It's a keeper for me. Dang...it even has a multi-page manual, even if the letters are so small you need a magnifying glass.... I'll be trying some of the other offerings from M-VAVE.

Neat little box
This is a very compact and potentially extremely useful little effect box depending on how deep you're willing to go with it. While the overall suite of effects on offer is pretty limited the ease of use and form factor are excellent but the ability to load 3rd party profiles could be the real ace in the hole. While the included amp profiles are pretty good and represent a decent (if somewhat unconventional) slice of tones, the real value of this pedal is going to be it's 3rd party support. It's out there, if perhaps somewhat more limited than more established brands like Kemper but the process of getting profiles/IRs/etc onto the unit is simple and straightforward once you find ones you like.Just on its own out of the box, my only real complaint is that there is really no overdrive or distortion block just a basic Boost/Comp/Gate you can dial in. Not the end of the world by any means but I feel like just a basic selection of dirt effects is pretty essential on a pedal like this. That said, it does play pretty well with standalone dirt pedals and the compact form factor is ideal for inclusion on a pedal board. alternatively It's also rechargeable and has a headphone output so you've got a perfect little take-along to play anywhere.TL;DR: Bit of a mixed bag and perhaps lacking in some aspects but what's there is good and the unit is intuitively designed and easy to use, if not the *best* sounding out there at the moment. It's also very flexible in what you can do with it from just a portable practice rig to being part of a larger pedal chain.
