This is the best thermometer. I love that when it’s finished doing its reading you wait a second or two and then it lights up the dial so you can easily read the temperature. Some people complain that it’s low on battery. That is a natural reading of the thermometer while it’s booting up. I have three of them now I love them. And if you’re older, and your eyesight is not the best and unique glasses this is for you. Plus, it’s easy in your mouth. It’s very flexible and it only takes a few seconds to treat your temperature. I find it very accurate.

This is the best thermometer I have ever used for my kids. It reads temp after a few seconds and lights up green for no fever and red for fever. Easy for small kids to use themselves as well. Its nice because it takes the temp so fast unlike other thermometers I have used in the past. It reminds me of the ones they use in the doctors office.

I've read reviews saying this isn't the genuine item. I've had two of these over the years and the one I received matches the complaints, it no longer beeps on reaching temperature, just flashes green for low grade fever, nor does it come with the clear plastic protective sheath it used to have, so today I checked one out at the pharmacy and it was identical to this one except it was five bucks more. This is the real deal. All I can say is they don't make them like they used to. I kept the plastic sheath from my old one but it doesn't fit this new thermometer.

As a physician this is my go-to thermometer for my travel bag and family home. In the clinic we use the Welch Allen and at $300 they are terrific. Here at the house however, anyone could grab it and there is a chance it just may get dropped in the water. The fast read thermometer allows you to take several reads and find an average or throw out an outlier. The price and ease of reading make them a winner.

This product cannot be used out of the box. According to the instructions, in all caps, “YOU MUST COVER THE THERMOMETER’S TIP WITH A SINGLE-USE, DISPOSABLE PROBE COVER. Probe cover not included.” I’m not sure what will happen, but my guess is it may affect the accuracy of the readings. So now I have to go buy these separately.

So its established in the veterinary field that this is one of the best thermometers. And it is. BUT. You must know that it says it takes up to 40 or 50 seconds to get a read. I've found on cats it takes a reading in the advertised 8 seconds. Extremely beneficial because cats HATE most veterinary things, including temperature taking. However with dogs it takes that full time, almost a minute. That minute feels like an hour when you're quite literally, and forgive my crudeness, up a dogs a**. As a vet tech? I'd rather get a thermometer that gets a reading in 30 seconds period. The variability in the timing just makes handling patients harder and in that case... not worth it. HOWEVER. If you're using this on humans? 1000% reccomend. Absolutely worth it. Great thermometer. Accurate, trusted in hospital settings, easy to read, and can be very quick. Also incredibly durable even if you bite down on it.
